Which admittedly is a good move. That single Mandalorian scout trooper with a measly pistol just felt like a complete rip off so I'm glad they can bend the rules here and there to at least make a slightly better product, even if they don't always.

That looks awful. So it's the wrong design, the less detailed design, and not chrome because they used all their chrome paint up on two pointless special edition variants of troopers. It also has a Mandalorian base (the sand type) but it's the wrong design even for the Mandalorian.

My DX07 had issues with the bangs scraping the eyebrows off which could be a concern when switching hair to ROTJ luke. I think Man of Hot Collectables was maybe more suggesting you shouldn't rather than it being impossible potentially, and that maybe there was some resistance when putting it on?

Given that they're essentially re-releasing that same fig with that new headsculpt (just with longer ankle pegs I guess), then I think it should fit as far as scale goes, or at least as well as it scales with DX12 and Armory, which is decent.

I'm wondering, is this headsculpt a tad more detailed than the ROTJ Luke sculpt? I get that it's the same sculpt but it looks potentially crisper from that MrCollection review. I was thinking about maybe, if it's going to be covered by the Helmet anyway, using this figures sculpt for the ROTJ...

Headsculpt looks a lot better in that review but still not really good enough. I also think that they still haven't got the visor thin enough in the eye areas.

I feel like the sculpt is still pretty off. Hot Toys never quite get the size of his nose bridge/nostrils right and the skin tone is always too pale. But very happy with how the armoured/ helmeted looks. And I'm glad they have gone a little bit OTT with the scuffs and general dirt on the...

Sugotoys looks like its way cheaper too. Pretty disappointed with Popcultcha with this.

They haven't quite nailed the colour have they. It should be a bit redder but hopefully that's fixed in the final release.

You can see the differences more clearly here: Clearly a different sculpt, so it'll be very sad if they just release this Phase 2 as is.

The Pilot headsculpt actually appears to be a new sculpt. It's mouth is more accurate than the standard Phase 1, but simultaneously it looks like it was sloppily sculpted by hand (see the mouth vents). Hope all these issues are fixed with the year they've given themselves.
