The '89 does appear to have a gloss sheen in the 'test sample' review videos. Not the satin sheen I was expecting. Plus, the paint surface shows some extreme orange peel & dust caught in the paint. As well as the apparent casting sink marks, that appear in various places across the body. I...

Thanks! I found the blue hoodie months ago on ebay, whilst collecting together parts for this MacReady I wanted to mod. It's from the MMS426 Hot Toys Spiderman Homecoming figure. The hoodie is nice and thin, so can easily be layered beneath the flightsuit & jacket. :)

I've modded the flamethrower hose from Mondo's extra-long, rubber-tube to a more screen-accurate, shorter braided hose. Used a old braided phone charge cable. Has the benefit of being wired for pose-ability. Came out pretty well. :)

For anyone considering re-painting the Flame Thrower - Here is a nice shot of the Kjun custom version, which looks pretty similar to the movie reference. Note the missing bent bleed pipe, on top of one of the tanks that Mondo molded. This could be easily cut off, I guess. Also, from reference...

Began to modify my MacReady over the weekend. DiD jacket, Flightsuit & Flame Thrower together with a Hot Toys Spiderman Blue Hoodie. Pretty happy so far. Next stage will be to add the fur to the jacket collar, as well as some weathering to the leather.

For anyone who was interested in picking up the DId Captain Rafe leather jacket, as a replacement for the Mondo one - I can verify & recommend it - it’s a great jacket. Far more accurate to MacReady. Real leather & thankfully the name tag comes unattached. Just need to fur line the collar. 👍
