    MONDO - THE THING

Nice. Do you have a comparison picture standing next to a hot toys figure? The one I’ve seen seemed taller than a HT Batman. This just looks clunky, imo, but maybe better in person?

    MONDO - THE THING

The mondo body looks to be 1/2"-1" taller than a HT with longer legs and more limited elbow articulation. I'll swap out the base body first thing.

    MONDO - THE THING

To enhance this figure I’d first replace the body as the proportions look a bit lanky and articulation looks more limited than a HT. The jacket needs to be swapped out as well as the boots, shotgun, pistol belt and pistol. Add the hoodie. And like Snake or Burton, this could use benefit from...

    MONDO - THE THING

And perhaps the jacket would look better and be more forgiving if they weren’t using a Big Chungus body.

    MONDO - THE THING

Perhaps that prototype jacket material wasn’t available in quantity or was deemed too expensive. The jacket does appear to be thicker and less refined than their earlier version.

    MONDO - THE THING

Less accessories/clothing = less production cost & time seems more plausible than concerns about aesthetics.

    MONDO - THE THING

This is Mondo’s first figure with clothing and their first based on a real person. Edit: they also did an Alfred Hitchcock figure. Their Gordon Freeman is likely the best comparison as that had a human likeness with an articulated body with a cloth body suit wearing plastic armor pieces. It...

    MONDO - THE THING

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a v2 from mondo with no flamethrower, no shotgun, only 1 head and the hoodie, dynamite, goggles and lamp, sprayed with white paint “snow”. Maybe a Blair thing as the ex. I bet Mondo is using the same crap body they used before with Gordon Freeman.

    MONDO - THE THING

Any clue what body is being used for this? An exclusive mondo design? The elbows look to be just single joints judging by the photos and poses.

    MONDO - THE THING

The jacket on this is so embarrassing. Shoddy 1990s hasbro quality. It really brings down the other aspects.

Hot Toys Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny

And their reward points expire now so no saving them up anymore.

It's this figure's cape with the plastic bits removed.

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS383 - Suicide Squad - Harley Quinn Collectible Figure

Or you could transplant the pigtails from a cheaper knockoff/recast head but I’d first try fixing the existing piece if possible.

    Asmus - 1/6 Gollum/Smeagol

I received my G/S and was relieved the color on both (so far) is great and they didn’t smell terrible. I haven’t posed them up yet but I’m happy with them so far.

1/6 Hot Toys WandaVision Scarlet Witch

I used a JIAOU body. I had to slightly pad the waist and thighs but I like the shoulders and color better.

Got my Wanda setup with new bod and cape.

    Sideshow skipping SDCC 23

No doubt Hot Toys helped pay for that booth in recent years and when they decided to pull their product and $ for their own Summershowcase it certainly became not worth it for SSC to pay double to display less product.

    Hot Toys Modok

While I appreciate all the weapons I'd actually prefer a stripped down plain ol' head in a chair version. Maybe Only Darren On Khair
