I finally opened the deluxe yesterday. Pretty spectacular...but is there a trick to getting his jetpack's ring on and off that tiny plastic clip for lugging-across-Tatooine mode? Just putting it on bent and whitened the straight part of the clip, and I'm pretty leery about trying to take it off...

I imagine the line just isn't doing as well as it once did, and so it's slowly chugging along on life support with partially retooled figures instead of un-budgetable whole new molds.

Is his right leg correct? I was under the impression ROTJ Threepio had a different layout of the silver parts, though it's always hard to tell from stills. I know the last time Hasbro made a Jedi version, the knee and foot were both gold, with just the shin section in silver.

I'd been waiting for Axe to come in stock at Sideshow so I could finally use one of the QR code in-stock discount stickers before they all expire at the end of January...but I just noticed he is in stock but ineligible for all promos. Argh.

Thanks very much for confirming that! It wouldn't have been enough of a change to make me get a second one, but it would have been enough to make me mildly cranky, so it's nice not to have that as a thing. The difference around the knees on the undersuits is interesting.

Mine is still packed away from our recent move, so I can't grab a photo, but my recollection is that there's a battle-damaged section on the smaller, tan left thigh plate where the black painted mark doesn't follow the shape of the damage. I think it may have been the curly line at the bottom...

Did they correct the misaligned deco on the thigh plate, where the paint didn't match the position of the dent? I can't quite tell from the photo.

Black Series can't get quite all the way there, though it's surprisingly close thanks to some very intricate jointing. I think the pic above is a movie model render.

There's no indication the pit droid can fold up, right? The TBS version can get 80% of the way to fully collapsed, but I suppose it's harder to cheat the CG transformation when you're going for total screen accuracy.

That's a simple solution that does the job. I wonder if it was like that in the show too -- same pants, but they just missed the loop in Mando and got it in BOBF.

I mostly see people hating on them from both Luke and the various Mauls. It's nice to see they're appreciated sometimes, too.

I've never been able to get that 2-pack neck piece out to swap the heads. Was hoping it'd be a looser fit on this one.

Still kind of miffed about the Deluxe not coming with everything. How idiotic would it be to get both, then try to sell everything but the stand and backdrop from the regular version?
