The armor does look more accurate. Also (as noted somewhat off-topic in the Boba 2-pack thread) -- relaxed hand sculpts! Finally!

I hadn't realized until the new Sideshow NY Con booth photos that Throne Boba finally has relaxed hand sculpts. Here's hoping they end up a surprise addition to this pack and S2 Mando, given they've all got the same gloves.

Honestly, I love 3D environmental stuff enough that I'll happily take it even when it's overused or the footprints are hilariously mismatched.

It's a little unfortunate that for all the show's budget and costume variety, both the DW Mando and Axe have exactly the same mismatched thigh plates as Din, identical dents and all (apparently everybody gets to cut up a Death Trooper's right leg armor?). Barely noticeable for their fleeting...

Are we talking about how the reissued Mythos Obi-Wan had a worse body, or did they do an additional revision later?

For removing the backpack, I carefully lever the base of the pack away from his back armor until the two little clear posts pop free, and then just lift up to clear the top hook. It always feels a little alarming, but everything has held up fine so far.

On the subject of the thigh plates, it took seeing good photos of the upcoming Black Series droid figure for me to realize Mando's new S2 plate was cut off of Zero's leg.

For whatever it's worth, I haven't found the suits at all restrictive on either Mando, and I'm reasonably certain I've got the first batch of both. I had to move the shoulders around a little to loosen things up, but after that they had a full range of movement.

Well, I hope they wait to drive up the price until I've managed to get hold of one.

Honestly, having it in-hand, I'm more bothered by the lower-quality fabric/weathering and the terrible paint ops then I am the arms. The body can be replaced (though you'd have to figure out how to keep the torso, since the top is painted to match his head), but it's a lot harder to re-tailor...

At least I finally know why my Threepio's thumbs look so weird. (I think they're not backwards so much as...molded with the base hinge 90 degrees off from where it should be?)

I'm willing to believe it could have been a factory goof-up, or a lost/broken tooling...never ascribe to malice, etc. etc.

That's the exact same email I got, but from a different customer service rep. Guess they put together a form letter.

All photos of the figure with his elbows bent more than 90 degrees have now been removed from the official product page. Meanwhile, my old LCS has apparently sold their v1 figure, so I'm going to have to track it down somewhere else.

Alls I know is, I love how interchangeable the armor is.
