I picked up a KO Cody head to use as a generic unhelmeted head sculpt - it seems a bit malformed and undersized to my eye (though I don’t have an original to compare it to) - but does the job well enough!

I wish Hot Toys would stop using pleather - especially for boots. Those Sideshow plastic boots look much better IMO - as do sculpted belts and holsters etc.

Yep. The seamless arms, the rubber lekku and the rubberised/pleather outfit all put me off. Of course, the first awesome review and I’ll cave lol

I never owned the Sideshow. I love how they kept the rigidity of the IG-88 design, yet somehow made its movements make sense. It almost looks like stop-motion animation to me. Ig-11 does seem to bend his head in the flashback scenes where he’s learning to hold a cup. Regardless - it’s a great...

Yep, the head swivels, as do two sets of “eyes”. And I hope yours arrives soon!

Agreed - although interestingly, the Hasbro figure has a ball jointed head - I was expecting the Hot Toys to have the same. I’ll have to re-watch IG-11’s scenes to see if he has better neck articulation in the show. Nonetheless, it’s an excellent figure with a stunning paint job.

Mine arrived today from Popcultcha! As other’s have been saying, it’s a great figure! My only concern are the very delicate fingers - and I’m having trouble getting him to hold the blasters properly. I personally prefer plastic sculptured boots, belts, etc on figures - they tend to look better and there’s less fear of deterioration.
