I just assumed the horse was polystone. Or something similar. Essentially a statue base. Which is what I'm hoping for, actually. (Like the Asmus Shadowfax.) Flocking is fine, but it doesn't make it feel "high end" to me. I'd prefer a really good paint job.

Love the look of that base. Are these pics new? What show are these from?

That's what I was thinking. If you *have* to make Hobbit figures, Thorin's probably going to be your best seller. Plus, it's a good test bed for Gimli. Get the problems worked out on the dwarf body.

Yeah. Committing to all that money is a problem for Future Me. And I've always hated that guy!

A very twisted part of me wants to pose him eating the lembas and giving a big thumbs up.

What's the symbol on the base? I'm not familiar with that from the films.

I love die cast for swords and some helms, but I totally don't need it for armor pieces. It doesn't add anything but weight. Well painted and cast plastic pieces, for me, are just as good if not better. With plastic armor, I don't live in fear of him toppling over and smashing the shelf in my...

Been collecting these things for more than a couple decades now -- hundreds of figures -- and this is definitely the best (non-custom) I've ever owned. 10/10 for me. Everybody's standards are different and your mileage may vary, of course, but for me, this one is the peak so far. And here's...

Not at all! I needed to use a flat screwdriver to work around the edges and pry the bottom off as gently as I could. But that was after half an hour of absolutely wrecking my hands trying to twist it open,

Yeah, I straight up LOOOVE this figure and Gandalf. But ... Magnetic. Wrist pegs. Make. Zero. Sense.

I'm in the 95400's. No invoice yet, but fingers crossed!

Oh, when these invoices hit, my country won't be green anymore! :lol

I'm always astonished by how different people's minds can perceive the same input so differently. Everyone's brains do not process the same information the same way. It's kind of amazing. It's like how some people have an inner monologue and some don't. In some ways the world really does...

    Asmus Toys - Thranduil

He's looking good! Hope those sleeves are wired, though. That's a LOT of fabric to manage when posing!
