InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

With a company this young, I'm not taking any previous production/shipping timelines as precedent of how things will always proceed in the future. As lawyers say: "past performance does not guarantee future results." I figure, they're still pretty new at this, and things could get faster, or...

Any info on when these might go up for sale?

Regardless of whether you're for or against magnetic eye controls, can we all agree that that GIF is enormously unsettling and should be burned with fire? :lol :ROFLMAO::lol

Magnetic eye control just feels like overdoing it? Like installing an escalator to go up three steps. Doesn't seem necessary?

I'm not sure about a magnetic eye mechanism. It's all about the execution, of course ... but it feels to me like that might be too small a space and too fiddly a mechanism to pull off in mass production. I kind of prefer the simpler approach of just using your finger. I don't want them to...

Man, a fully armored and decked out horse as an accessory would rock so hard.

That reminds me. I have to go to the grocery store. It's spaghetti night.

I personally don't mind at all if they send figures to early reviewers and such. I mean, studios have been doing that with movies and TV forever. Publishers do it with books. May not be super common in the collectibles world, but it's not unheard of in marketing. However, unless they're...

Their take on Saruman would kick some ***.

I would bet a Gimli and Boromir would be in the works over the next couple of years. Merry and Pippin seem like a long shot, though. Even Asmus had to be pushed pretty hard to do them and even then we only got bare-bones, stripped-down figures. It sucks, but those two don't seem like big sellers.

100% Larger, sturdier wrist pegs would be very welcome. But the magnets? Not so much. I've seen people argue that the magnets help "guide" the pegs in. But that kinda seems like solving a problem nobody was having? To me, it just seems like they're trying to make their figures feel more...

Are they hitting the same hair issues Asmus flagged when they said to do his braids fully rooted was too complicated? Or did Gandalf just really back up the assembly line on everything?

I haven't undressed him, but does anyone know if the forearms can be popped out and replaced with standard True-Type ones? And then we could use standard wrist pegs?

    Asmus Thorin 1/6 Figure

Excellent pics, Pizza! Such a great figure. As for the leaflet, it's not a book, just a single piece of paper folded in the middle. That's the whole thing there.

    Asmus Thorin 1/6 Figure

Got mine, too! Looks great! But - and I'm just being honest here - I can't really see much of a difference from the original. In the paint work or the hairing. At least to my old eyes. Maybe I just got a really good one on my initial figure. Still one of my favorite figures in their...
