Dragon Toy - The Dark Ruler 1/6 Scale

There definitely would have been loud pushback from some of the deep lore book fans. I get why the PJ & Co. considered having him appear for a boss fight with Aragorn, though. It's really tough to have your main villain not appear in the final confrontation. Tolkien really wrote them into a...

No jerkin yanking. This isn't that kind of website.

    InArt Daenerys

I love that there are hundreds of different looks for her, some so subtle that they're almost imperceptible. Something the costume designer did on purpose to show that she's always evolving and changing from scene to scene. For collectors and obsessors, it can be exhausting, though. I'm used...

Except 3Z never produced that figure. Or at least it doesn't look like they're going to. Or did they and I just missed it?

I waited to order GTG until Aragorn went up for pre-order. Now I'm having a slight sinking feeling that I'll be one of the last batches of Gandalves and first batches of Aragorns ... possibly verry close together ... Yeesh, that's gonna leave a bruise on the credit card.

This one is probably my favorite outfit through the entire run of the show. That dragon chain is badass. Really dig the scale texture of the cape. Love the pop of red. And the texture/pattern of the main dress. However, the closeups shown above are a different outfit. That one has a...

It's wild that there are such wildly opposing views on the fur coat outfit. A lot of collectors around these parts seem to dislike it intensely. But I've seen other corners of the Internet go nuts for it. Personally I dig it. But nobody seems neutral on it.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

My brain has been SO incredibly spoiled by the proto and pre-order pics. Probably the best 1/6 figure photos I've ever seen. It's really warped my perception. Anything that falls even a little short of that will - irrationally - seem like a step down. Even though it's still better than any...

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

I tend not to like swords that are "too fantasy" looking. Usually I dig the more practical looking ones (which is why I love most of the ones designed for LotR) ... but Orcrist might be my favorite design from all six movies. Wildly impractical (especially since it doesn't fit in the scabbard...

Ah! There it is! The blue strap across his chest is the for the Orcrist scabbard, right?

Didn't get my order in until WAY late (not till after Aragorn went up for pre-order) but that's not stopping me from obsessively checking my in box and spam folder! :lol Delusion, like Hope, apparently springs eternal!

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

How about two four-packs ... one with their FotR outfits and another with their armored looks from RotK. Oh, god ... and a third with their fancy Return to Hobbiton duds! I definitely have a problem, too!

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

True. But maybe they haven't developed a hobbit body yet? Seems like that might take a bit more work and engineering than a dwarf body. Figuring out how to do hobbit feet is always a challenge. Do they go with hard sculpted feet, or do they innovate something seamless but flexible. (Seems...

    InArt Thorin Oakenshield 1/6 Figure

Yeah, it's possible the license dictates that they have to mix in a few Hobbit characters every once in a while. And while Thorin likely wouldn't sell as well as a lot of characters from LotR, he's probably one of the most sellable figures from The Hobbit films.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I'm curious where these fall in the release plans. They've already teased other figures (like Legolas, Ringwraith, etc.) and we know Aragorn is coming. Are these slotted in front of or behind what's been teased already? Either way, I can't see these new teases being ready to ship before next...
