I wasn't aware of anything wrong about this release until I saw a post on facebook the night before mine arrived. A well known figure suplier company from the UK is sending back numerous helmets back to his supplier for replacements. Same issues with all, mostly scuffed helmets and a few...

The Hong Kong company I bought the figure from got back to me saying that the this Darth Vader helmet is "supposed to have that damage" and offered me some store credit. To be honest it's ruined the figure for me. I'm really not that into the figure now as I know it's damaged. Kind of a bummer...

Very clever of you. I'm looking on ebay now and I can only find the full helmet. Nobody selling the dome seperately unfortunately.

So it shouldn't look like that, it's not "weathering" or anything? Getting a replacement helmet from a Hong Kong seller will be an interesting experience. I've just sent the selling company an email so I will wait to hear from them.

I'd don't know why but sending a reply is the only way I can comment on this discussion (sorry Wor-Gar). I have just received my Vader from Hong Kong and it has rubs on the helmet. I can't see any mention of them meant to be there. Is my Vader helmet defective?

Just picked up one of these guys from a local collector for €160 / $172. Not a bad deal at all.

I thought so too but Sideshow have extended his release window to March 2024. As far as I remember his release window was Oct - Dec 2023 now it's Oct 2023 - March 2024.

So we are now close to the release period for this guy.

I'm caught between upgrading to this new Hot Toys Dewback or just keeping my Sideshow one. I'm definitely getting the new Sandtrooper.

Has it been mentioned what it's made of? Also definitely no base?
