Reading between the lines, potential good news seems to be: unless QMX like throwing money away, they aren't going to renew licensing for 1/6 Trek if they're not producing 1/6 Trek. So eventually that license should be up for grabs. Hopefully (someday) Nanjin can align with another company...

It's a great figure - I'd love to have the time, extra $$ and a second one to make a Mr. Rourke - though without the smile he'd be missing a lot of personality.

If you aren't seeing these figures IN HAND, then you're not seeing them. PERIOD. I've seen some good photos of some of the figures, but so far none truly captures what they look like in hand. If you skipped Scotty, you're missing out. Hot Toys, in their best year could not make 6 figures...

Haven't received the new figures yet. :) I'll have them sometime in February.

I bit the bullet and also got the re-issued Kirk and Spock. I already have the original figures which I'll end up selling mint in box. Only Sulu is missing, which I'll have to figure out.

Maybe. But they did get released and if they had received more preorders maybe they'd have produced more. They'd be sitting on a lot of stock if they didn't release them as Nanjin mentioned they were in production. But again, all three characters were already released and available directly...
