Nanjin know the answer to the profit question. My take is much more straight forward. QMx is not now and has never been a 1/6 company. They're completely out of their depth. 1/6 was less than an afterthought in their marketing, even on their own web site. If it weren't for Nanjin, they...
QMx's 1/6 efforts effectively died long ago and it took Nanjin to come on board to get everything rolling - well beyond Star Trek. Now with him gone... Prognosis not good.
Happy to have gotten Scotty some months ago directly from the man himself, thanks Nanjin!
There's ONE other thing I'd like and it's from one particular movie, but in addition to paying for it, I don't know where I'd put it. You're likely thinking of the same thing.
It looks very good until you put it up along side real photos. Then it just looks OK. Then you start seeing how/where it's off. Then it gets annoying. Then you remember the price and you fall out of your chair an an uncontrolled fit of laughter.
I'll say it again. It's not half good enough for even half the price - as a cast & pre-paint, not talking private commission type work here. It's good, maybe even the best of Craig sculpts, but that's not saying very much.

I just realized I was still subscribed to this thread - I don't even order from Sideshow anymore, blacklisted them sometime last year. Too much BS, rude employees on Twitter, etc.
Saw someone on Facebook use a large Hulk body for his custom Wampa. Probably too large, but the biggest issue is that the arms lack articulation (no elbows, shoulders restricted, etc.)
For a long while it seemed there was always a 1/4 base body around and now... nothing except $100+ Coo...
I hope I was able to get in that list of 30. Did that list ever get confirmed to interested parties?
But I'm still wondering if I need to 1. take out a mortgage, 2. apply for a loan, 3. put it on a credit card or 4. save some entertainment monies. :)
Yup. If we learned anything from Highlander it's that "There will Always Be Another!" :)
Looked good, but if it's even remotely oversized, glad I missed it in the end. Plus as mentioned, the top half of the head is a bit too wide.
