I feel like both things are true: InArt is a better figure, but Asmus is a better value per dollar. In any case, I'm just tricking myself psychologically; with the NRD paid on OSK, Legolas will "only" be a $480 figure when it releases. Girl math!

Re: the cloak, no, it can't be used that way. It's not an actual cloak under there, just a rolled up piece of fabric. While it's absurd to have to pay more for an already premium figure, the Topo cloak is a good value at $35 at least.

Aragorn is here and glorious! Unfortunately, though, I didn't escape QC entirely... Some paint rubbed off on the neck. A really tiny spot, admittedly, but it's right on the Adam's apple and just low enough to be seen from certain angles... Kit said he can file a claim, but it might take a few...

It really doesn't bother me, tbh. This hobby is built on patience. Figures will arrive when they arrive.

Textures and colors! The grey, brown, and green just play well off each other. The Strider look has much less contrast.

I think InArt's hair sculpts are actually very good, but they're let down by incredibly flat paint jobs. It ends up making them look like a solid piece of plastic instead of highlighting the intricacies of the sculpt. But hey, the Standard is what I could grab, so I'm gonna love it all the same!

For me, it's just nice to finally look at these pictures as pose inspiration. For a long time there, it looked like I was stuck on the outside looking in! I definitely need to get my Legolas order squared away here so that I'm not chancing it again...

That second photo looks remarkably like the prototype! I had a hard time believing it could be a phone pic, tbh. My greedy *** kinda hopes Kit will find a couple Premium Aragorns at some point, even though I lucked out with a Standard. The realism in the former is just unparalleled.
