InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yeah, ever since the first comparison pictures came out, I haven't been able to unsee the bobblehead on HT. It's completely ruined the figure for me, if I'm honest. Gave me the ick, as the kids say.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

To circle back to the start of the conversation, I actually wish they'd committed even more to the Thomas Wayne/mob connection. We've already had countless iterations where the Waynes were noble, upright citizens or blank slates for Bruce to quietly mourn. It would've been fun to lean further...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Hey, you got me beat: I'm no batch. 😭 I'm about to build a time machine and slap my stupid "I'll just stick to Hot Toys" past self right in the face. 🤣

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Very excited to see Legolas and eventually Gimli. Those two paired with Aragorn will be *chef's kiss.* Interested in the hobbits, too, obviously, but that trio is the one I really want to complete.

I think Harry Potter was actually announced before Aragorn, but I'd be BSing you if I said I knew for sure.

Man, Kit's the best. I'm another latecomer, so I'll be checking his site religiously for cancelled orders. I've seen this figure pop back up occasionally, but it's been a few months since the last time, so I'm accepting that I've probably missed the boat.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I'll just reiterate my earlier point that this isn't even necessarily about whether pictures or videos are more trustworthy -- even though I have an opinion on that -- but rather that multiple reviews are inherently more helpful than any single source alone. Everyone brings different...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I think this is really the crux of our philosophical disagreement. There are a lot of factors that go into Black's photography looking as good as it does: his lighting, his posing, his photo editing, his overall setup, etc. Lose any of those -- or even more than one -- and your figure won't look...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Professional photography isn't very indicative of how things look to the naked eye. Things like lighting, focal length, etc. have a huge impact on how something looks. Not that video can't also be manipulated to look as good as possible, but seeing something in motion generally gives you a...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Just my two cents: I know nitpicking is what "we" do best. (I don't actually have a very good eye for it, tbh, so I'm just including myself in the royal we.) But I think there's a pragmatic limit to how accurate a mass-produced 1/6 scale figure can be, and InArt is pretty darn close to that...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Begins is still probably my favorite live-action Batsuit of all time, but I'm particularly partial to this costume as well. What can I say? I'm a sucker for "tacticool." I'm not sure how the sequel costume could get much better, but I certainly won't rule it out.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Agreed! It's one of the better HTs in recent memory. No one should be disappointed with it, really. It's just not the top-of-the-line product anymore, and I think that's hard for some folks to reckon with -- especially since prices just keep climbing. They've got to believe they own the best...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I'm not even gonna judge people who are defending the HT version. I even spent about half a day trying to convince myself I didn't need InArt before finally being honest with myself. 🤣 When there's this much money invested into a hobby, being defensive of the product you bought and dismissive of...

Same deal with "Brokeback" Joker, who became one of the most reproduced and sought after 1/6 figures of all-time.

I would kill for a Catwoman. Zoë did a great job, and with InArt's paint apps, I know they'd kill the shimmery sort of look her makeup had.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I love that this photo makes it look like Batman is considering where he's gonna find the money for the bills this month. 🤣

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yeah, I don't love the way they've done the hair opening. Guess that's a point in my favor having only secured the Standard. I'll take whatever wins I can get. 🤣

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Seems like the latter, tbh. And I can't say I'm any better about it. That's why I hope including two capes a la Superman, one wired and one draped, will become the new standard. Wired capes are excellent for posing, but I get so frustrated trying to get them to look natural in a non-action pose.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I think the truth about the head size lives somewhere in the middle: HT is too big, InArt is too small. All I know is that as soon as I'd seen the side-by-side comparisons, I couldn't look at my HT Battinson without noticing how out of scale the head is. Maybe I'll feel similarly about InArt in...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

My goodness. I'm trying to manage my expectations because I remember being wowed by the reviewer photos/videos of HT Battinson, too, and for me, it was the first time I've ever really failed to connect with something upon unboxing. It's taught me the value of getting the figure in-hand, even if...
