I think a part of this comes from dave's financial interest in qmx. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But you see things differently when you sit in the manufacturer's seat, not the collector's seat. My .02.

I think promoting an item would be considered commercial speech (like advertising). As i recall the standard is appreciably lower to be protected. But you could argue over what is "promoting".

So no more Interest threads? Like that miami vice set- thats banned now? How about items, rather than figures- like that hogan wcw belt? Animals- max's dog? Or jon's dire wolf?

Anyone thinking of touching up the sculpt with maybe a clear red or spots of gloss or anything like that?

Have to do janeway if you do 7/9. Obvious question is when will these be available, if at all. We've been shown a lot of stuff.

Anything other than cubed makes it harder to ship (like boxes in the truck) and the item less secure in transport (damaged before it comes out of the box). Not worth taking the chance imo for a $900 item after shipping.

But he DID have to spend the $287. He spent it overpaying for other stuff. It's not free. If anything reward points are more like a forced down payment on a future item in addition to the cost of the current item your buying.

Youre not getting any kind of discount. Youre paying full price- you've paid for this by overpaying on all the other stuff you bought. SSC takes that overpayment and converts it to points you can redeem later. But only w/ SSC.

No, it's not. Thats the illusion of ss reward points. You spend more upfront to get points that you can only spend with ss. Why not just pay the cheaper price from another retailer, skip the points, and spend the difference in price on gas, or tequila, or potato chips, or widgets? Or save it?

Anyone get the non dead lady version? Im told only the dead lady version has been released. Which given the time lapsed seems odd.

Anything not in a case will get dusty. Cases can also protect from damaging light and unwanted touching/handling.
