The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

Ok. If you enjoy paying more, rather than less, for the same product, then I can see why you wouldn't have a problem with it. I certainly would love it if you could find for me a single example of another collector who wouldn't prefer to pay less for the same figures. "Common" and...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

It's not a perspective, it's just a fact - you're looking at monopolistic behavior here. Not because they're the sole distributor, but because they are the exclusive distributor. The fact that no other retailer can acquire stock from Hot Toys - to either sell or distribute - even if they want...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

When Sideshow became the exclusive distributor for Hot Toys in the US, it created a monopoly, which very quickly lead to a significant rise in prices for Hot Toys figures in the US - far outpacing inflation, rise in supply and material costs, and the pricing of the same figures abroad. Great for...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

"Non-articulated" Bruce figure is an awful idea. Maybe even a deal-breaker? Not sure yet, but it's hard to justify that price when Bruce is a statue. I can't believe there isn't a way to swap in normal arms for the folded arms. That would help justify the price, and showcase potential...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

I don't see any reason why not. The TDK armory was sold as the same thing (an armory with a batsuit that could become a Batman figure outside of the armory), so this shouldn't be any different.

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

Well, I do think you have a point that the nature of the messaging seems to be sabotaging the retailers and distributors who still have this in stock, who are ostensibly Hot Toys' partners. Especially the partners who actually paid money for the privilege of being exclusive partners (though the...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

This thing was teased almost a decade ago. I've been waiting ever since, to pair it with my TKD armory, and am glad it's seeing the light of day, after being vaporware for so long. I like that Bruce has a new look that hasn't been done before, which helps justify the purchase. I don't need...

The Batman - Part II (October 3rd, 2025)

I agree, Knightmare Joker showed a lot of potential, and I'm sad we won't see an Elseworlds movie continuation of that. Leto's Joker before that wasn't my favorite, but I appreciated the fact that they were giving Morrison's Joker a cinematic interpretation. It wasn't the best, but it deserved...

The Batman - Part II (October 3rd, 2025)

If they're smart, they'll just keep Joker in the background for the whole series. It grants it a different, unique feel, which is necessary for a character that has had so much cinematic exposure. Never let him leave the asylum. Let the audience wonder what a Joker adventure would look like...

The Batman - Part II (October 3rd, 2025)

I think Hamm's script for the first film was actually quite closely connected to the finished product. The reason the movie focuses on Joker, instead of Batman, was due to Hamm's influence. His connection to "Batman Returns" is in name only, of course. I thought the comic largely sucked. It...

Mars Toys 1/6 Batman Forever Riddler

I know this is a pipe dream, but there's a Robin Williams Riddler headsculpt that's on Ebay right now... ...wouldn't it be so cool if a Robin Williams alternate head was thrown in with this? Then you could have a "Tim Burton" version of the Riddler, from the "Batman 3" movie that never...

1/6 Mars Toys MAT014 Joker (Jack Nicholson)

This looks fantastic. A great Mob Boss Joker, plus the heads and accessories to put together a Museum Joker for those who don't have one already. Definitely going to grab one, and it's great to see '89 Batman get some love, after Hot Toys continues to neglect the classics. Was going to order...

Hot Toys DX09 - BATMAN - Batman (Michael Keaton) - Specs & Pics

Indeed, and Batman was also willing to kill in the comics contemporaneous to the time as well, including multiple instances in the late 80s. Vigilantism and fatal justice were an ongoing theme in Starlin's "Batman" run, prior to Burton's movie.

Let's be honest, that shot was a seminal moment for us all.

    Dune (2020) by Dennis Villeneuve

You don't need to adapt the fourth book to reach the anti-colonialist themes or subversion of the white savior trope. That's already present in the second half of the first book, as well as the second book. Villeneuve has made it clear he already has his plan for adapting the second half of...

    Dune (2020) by Dennis Villeneuve

Brian's involvement has been nothing but a formality - a way to make him feel important and get some more money into his hands. It's the same as Gene Roddenberry's involvement in the "Star Trek" movies after "The Motion Picture" - he gets a credit, he gets some money, and he gets his name on...

1/6 Daftoys Batman Begins - Scarecrow

If anyone picked up this set and doesn't want to use their second "maggoty" Scarecrow head, I'm looking to purchase one. Send me a PM, if so.

Zack Snyder's Justice League - what's your wish list?

Knowing Hot Toys, the most likely figure to be made would be a Knightmare Joker. They love Joker, they love Leto, and they love off-the-wall costumes - it's the perfect figure for a Toys Fair Exclusive. I wouldn't expect much beyond that. Which suits me - it's the one figure I would purchase...
