EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

It's always a bit offputting when seeing these strongly textured Zbrush screenshots, but it's worth considering that around 20% (give or take) of the skin texture will be lost by the time it gets to a tooled PVC production head. That means the digital model needs to have more texture to...

1/6 Doctor Who Figures - BCS and everything else

My Zavvi version of Tom arrived today down in New Zealand from Big Chief - when they did their offer of including a signature plaque, I decided to jump on it. I guess I got fairly lucky across the board with no QC issues to speak of. Buttons are all accounted for; the paint seems solid, although...

EXO-6 Star Trek "TOS" Figures (The Original Series)

Truly iconic - and I'm sure she'll make for a stunning figure too Agreed, but that image is at least a year old so I've no doubt she's been through dozens of revisions since then, if not more! Personally, I'm happy to wait for her to be as refined as possible.

The regular versions are definitely coming! (don't think I've seen this Sulu posted here yet - Nanjin posted it on a Facebook group a couple of weeks ago). Here are some older images (all posted by Nanjin at various times), but still good to see!

    EXO-6 Star Trek "Voyager" Figures

To be fair, you have to look very closely to tell otherwise! When I was first watching in the '90s, I thought they were black too.

    EXO-6 Star Trek "Voyager" Figures

Trekfectionists! Can I borrow that? I've spoken with a lot of people (sculptors, etc) working for EXO-6, and they are definitely very passionate about making these figures the best they can, while meeting studio requirements. Not always an easy balance! The older shows (pre 2017) definitely...

Should be black only in the center, so gold around the edges is correct!

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Well, there would be a lot of back and forth in development until the issues were addressed - I can imagine it could be quite frustrating, but it's just part of the process. I worked on an actor likeness for a video game project and it went through months and months of tiny revisions until the...

Me too! There's lots in development, hoping we'll see more once Sisko ships.

Unfortunate to see him delayed again! I actually rewatched the TMP 4k release yesterday to get in the mood just in case he really was just around the corner! Ah well - delays in 1/6 are nothing new - I've got some Big Chief figures fully paid for going on three years now - EXO-6 are still doing...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

There are a lot of stages to approvals - for instance, sculpts go through at least 5 rounds of studio approvals before production, and it can be more, especially if talent is directly involved, or change their mind - eg, Bakula wanted to change Archer's hair to a season 4 hairstyle right towards...

Packaging has been approved and produced. Admiral Kirk will be "fully assembled" in the packaging next week, so, no, not today, but possibly next week. The wait is almost over!

She was taken down before due to increasing costs of the partially seamless metal armature which meant they would have had to raise the price on further preorders, so rather than charging newcomers extra, they took her down. It seems they were able to figure out how to keep the price the same so...

Apparently, they have been manufactured! Back on the 22nd of September, he posted that they were done and moving onto packaging (see image). Additionally, two days ago he said that once the packaging is done, they'll go up for order. The EXO-6 site schedule has had them listed for an October...

TMP Kirk was sculpted by Sean Dabbs who also did Janeway and Seven for EXO-6 along with some other upcoming releases. He does great work! Edit: I forgot to mention he did the new Locutus as well

I cant find the exact post where he said it (so much nastiness getting posted lately!), but Nanjin replied to someone saying that yes, there would be a few days notice before he goes up.

Afraid not, that's a TBleague S17b - the included body is a generic jointed one.

Never saw those before! But went ahead and ordered their Alice - rehash or not, at least I can see some likeness! I always liked that outfit too and was tempted to get the SWToys version of it but the SWToys headsculpt just didn't work for me.
