Im having the same issue with the darts. The last resort for me in these situations is to get John at Fullmetal Customs to make for me what I can?t make myself. They will be actual metal, they will look perfect, and they will be $$$expensive$$$. Ive also noticed that in some reference images...

Found a bottle of shampoo thats the same smoky green that Fetts visor is. And the sides of the bottle are almost perfectly curved to fit into the inside of the helmet. ill just need to do a hot water/cold water treatment to shape it perfectly, and then maybe some Future to get it glossy...

I realized after staring at it for a while that the issue with the helmet looking oversized was simply the fact that it was too low on the head, so I stuck a bottle cap in there and voila, it looks much better. I also took the picture from further back to eliminate any lens distortion...

Nice work, you?re making some really good progress. I love how the shoulders look, and those braids look amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did a test fit. Glued the parts that looked the weakest, onto the weakest helmet, saving the better parts for a possible custom, or for paint practice. Looks pretty good. The right ear cover needs some sanding and filling putty for a better fit. In the profile pics of the helmet, the scale...

Are you using the Kenner/Hasbro scans making the rounds, to make them? They look fantastic and surprisingly accurate for scans from old toys. They require a little tweaking work to get just right though, but they look great.

2-1B 1:6 scale resin kit. UPDATE!

It looks like one of the same spikes used on the tip of Fett's boots.

They turned out very nice as well. I didn?t print the actual rangefinder since I already have a nice clear one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Scaling it down to 16.67% is perfect. It looks much more accurate than the Hot Toys HS. And you can see in the comparison pic below that its an exact scale match to the Marmit helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Second time?s the charm! Came out great this time. The helmet is still thin but the adjustments I made with the new software added just the right amount of strength for it to work, and since it?s thin, it easily fits over a head sculpt. So happy with how it turned out. Sent from my...

Alright. I found some free software called Meshmixer. It can increase the wall thickness of a file. You can only go up to 2mm thick, for something 1/1 scale, so hopefully that makes the 1/6 scale version thick enough. Im printing everything again now (with half the supports I used the first...

It?s all good. Im still excited, it just sucks when you want to get moving on a project and you have a mountain of research and education to climb to get competent at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So tried to remove the walls of supports from the paper thin helmet, and as expected, it was a train wreck. It's discouraging when you spend weeks of research, and a TON of cash, to realize there's a HUGE learning curve with 3D printing. This stuff is not as straight forward as it looks. Not by...

No, I didn?t increase the wall thickness. It did fail, but it was because. 1.) I added WAY too many supports LOL. They ended up fusing together in places. Ironically I was nervous it would fail if it didn?t have enough supports. 2.) I missed some supports on the inside of the cheek plate, and...
