AM2 had a press embargo that pushed up to release. That's normally a pretty bad sign. The Flash at least had some buzz and a Batman going in. I have a hard time seeing HT doing anything with this movie. Not a lot to work with anyway.

Fwiw, I think Rebel Moon and CoR are pretty comparable in terms of quality and tone. I say that as someone that enjoyed both. Also, I'm with you on CA:TWS. That is still peak MCU for me.

The first Avatar was so bad that I have no plans to watch the second one. One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Apparently they went with Arto Condensed Bold. I consider that less offensive than papyrus. I only want to see papyrus if I can order a gyro.

I think one more thing about Snyder that affects his response- he is a very earnest film maker in a time when earnestness isn't popular. Snark, sarcasm, snappy dialog, Marvel buddy-cop formula, subverting expectations, all of that is "in" these days, and his style is very much the opposite of that.
