InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

Individual control is vastly superior in my view. for starters, if the eyes were not properly aligned perfectly at the factory, it allows you to adjust them. Second, it allows for adjustments of perceived focal length in the event you want the figure looking at something close up (like Gandalf...

    Blitzway 1/6 Ghostbusters Afterlife ECTO-1

I opened up my Ecto-1 Afterlife and was fortunate enough to find that it is in pretty good shape. The only thing I find frustrating is that they clearly hired a cross-eyed monkey to apply the decals. It got me thinking how they might handle future projects...

Asmus Toys Lord of the Ring Gandalf Gray

This is what I've been saying as well - Why announce in small batches that are sold out within an hour? They should take pre-orders so everyone who wants one will know they have one reserved. I don't care how long I need to wait - I just want to know it's secured.

Asmus Toys Lord of the Ring Gandalf Gray

Why is Asmus putting these up in tiny batches that are gone inside of an hour? They should be taking orders so that everyone who wants one can reserve one.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

It would seem easier to just make a custom base where the entire top is magnetic.

    Mars Toys 89 Alfred

I wish WB would work with Mars on a licensing deal (like they recently did with JazzInc). Then we could at least see the correct character names/logos on the boxes and I'm sure WB could furnish them with much better reference photos.

Asmus Toys Lord of the Ring Gandalf Gray

So, as someone who purchased the Asmus Gandalf a couple years back, I have only just recently heard that there was a replacement HS on offer. I still don't know any of the details about it - How do I order one? What is the cost?

Hot Toys The Dark Knight Joker DX/Artisan 1/6 Scale Figure

I'm just glad I don't have to be part of this particular stampede - I am completely satisfied with my IA Joker set and see no reason to blow hundreds more on the HT version as I suspect - while it may do some things incrementally better than IA (the HS perhaps?), it will also fall short in areas...

Asmus Toys Lord of the Ring Gandalf Gray

What is the cost? Will there be more made (15 hardly seems enough)? Can the eyes on the original heads be "fixed" and, if so, have you considered doing an exchange program for the new heads or some other refurbishing arrangement?

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I order Kruge on day one. Yes, his hair might be scary (the hair looks doll-like even in the promo photos) but I think I'll be able to make it work once I've got him in hand. I've wanted a high-end Klingon for the collection for some time now and this was a great character. I'll have to make him...

    Barbie

Hey, I just heard that Hot Toys is going to announce an Artisan Edition of Barnie ... with rooted hair!

Hot Toys The Dark Knight Joker DX/Artisan 1/6 Scale Figure

The same this that always happens - you get stuck with a sucky figure. I took a chance on InArt Joker and I knew it was a huge gamble to throw a grand at a PO from a company that had never made a 1/6 figure before. However, they were an offshoot of Queen Studios and I felt confident between that...

Tough Guys TG8014 1/6 Scale Comedian (Joker)

Why has no company done a licensed version of this figure? HT would rather do yet another Ledger Joker to show they can produce something as good as IA - how about doing something new instead !!

Hot Toys The Dark Knight Joker DX/Artisan 1/6 Scale Figure

I think both HT and IA figures look great - some specific elements look better on one or the other and that debate will continue (though I don't think it's worth my time to engage in it). Either is a fine choice and being the proud owner of the IA rooted set, I won't lose any sleep over not...

Hot Toys Sandtrooper and Dewback 1/6

I would love it if they came up with an original solution on the figure (perhaps a new hip joint design) so that the trooper looked a bit more natural in the saddle and not so doll-like.

Hot Toys Anakin Skywalker DX "Artisan Edition" 1/6 Figure Revenge of the Sith

Yea, my doubts run strong on HT being able to match InArt when it comes to rooted hair.

Mars Toys 1/6 Prank Villain (Three versions of Cesar Romero's Joker)

I think the lesson for Mars here is a simple one: When everyone is singing your praises from the mountain tops due to an amazing release and you decide to make a second batch ... DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

If they said Q3 release and deliver by September 30, I don't see it as a meaningful delay - and really, if your happiness revolves around what date your toys are going to arrive in the mailbox, you might need to reassess your life's priorities...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

So, I only discovered EXO a little over a year ago when they put the Locutus figure up for PO and teased a trio of Wrath of Khan figures. Are the WoK figures on the timeline yet or are they still just considered a future project with PO date unknown? SS has them listed as "Coming Soon" for a...
