1/6 Hot Toys - TMS015 - The Mandalorian: Din Djarin + The Child set ( DELUXE VERSION)

I've been out of the loop with the Mando figures. Is this the "chrome" version? https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/star-wars-the-mandalorian-and-grogu-deluxe-version-hot-toys-908289?var=908754

Agatha Coven of Chaos (Disney+) - Winter 2023

I just finished this. It was surprisingly entertaining. Pretty pleased that they actually made the mysteries pay off this time around (looking at you WandaVision) and it leaves a good path forward for future stories.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

IMO, Disney tried something different with the Acolyte and now that it failed, I am afraid they will take the wrong lessons from it. This is my thought too. There is a lot of stories they can dive into from this era, but now I think we'll just get more Skywalker-centric stories.

    Shōgun ( FX 2024 Miniseries / James Clavell )

Finally got to finish this. Really liked the ending and how they brought all of the character arcs to a close. Not sure what else they will cover in Season 2 though.

*BEWARE SPOILERS* Deadpool & Wolverine (July 26th, 2024)

Just came from the theater. It was a fun film. Sometimes a bit over the top but that's to be expected with Deadpool. Loved the cameos here too. Some action scenes were tough to follow. The premise is a bit meh though.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I wouldn't say they were written as inept, more flawed maybe. They are still very skilled warriors and they are shown to be smart, compassionate and most of all, good. The Jedi will always be a flawed order. The Sith came from them afterall. However, to show the real height of the Jedi...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

The Jedi always had their shortcomings (at least in the extended lore). The Sith basically came from them. There was nothing in the Acolyte that states that though. It could also be the other way around (Darth Plagueis could have taught the witches that). The true origins of the two girls...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I don't understand the "aggressive children taking" part. The Jedi (Sol mostly) thought Mae and Osha were in danger. It was never really made clear whether or not they were in real danger. From the point of view of Osha and Mae, the coven was a loving family. To the Jedi, it was an evil...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

You know how sometimes a cop shoots someone by mistake because he thought that person was reaching for a weapon or was a threat? Pretty much the case here. There was a stand-off between Koril and Torbin. Aniseya was trying to take Mae away to safety by teleporting her away. Sol misread this...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Last episode was good in my books because it was subtly different from what was shown from Osha's point of view in episode 3. In episode 3, scenes depicting the mothers are strict or scenes where they were teaching the twins looked more aggressive/abusive when Sol was watching in Episode 7...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

He's probably not Sith. Or he could be hiding those eyes (like Palpatine in the PT). I do think he's more of a Dark Jedi or one of the first (if not the first) Knights of Ren based from the clues so far.

Because Cortosis was supposed to be rare, and not particularly easy to work with. It's soft and useless as armor in its natural state.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Here you go: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Darth_Tenebrous They are pulling a lot of stuff from Legends. Leslye Headland mentioned 2 Sith characters coming up. I won't be surprised if it were Tenebrous and Plagueis since the timeline is close to when they were active.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

In Legends, Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis visit a planet matching this due to the Cortosis deposits. If I remember right, this is where Plagueis kills Tenebrous.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

We do see a few are still capable. Jecki was one, Sol was another (Master and Padawan so it figures), Indara was also ok and Venestra is showing promise too. On the flashback will see how good/bad Kelnacca and Torbin (as Indara's Padawan) were.
