    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Yeah, and I honestly like their portrayal here. The Jedi were at the peak of their power at the time of this show, and have remained unchallenged for 100 years at this point. Most of these Jedi have not seen conflict, and most likely never had any real experience fighting another Force user.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Was this the first time we've seen a padawan die before their master in live action? If I remember right, it's always the padawans that survived their masters (Obi Wan surviving Qui-Gon, Luke surviving Yoda/Obi, Ahsoka surviving Vader, Ezra surviving Kanan). Hopefully this messes up Sol in the...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I think this is inevitable when you have a fight where it is 1 vs many. It's not only in Star Wars too. You see this happen in 1 vs many fights like in DC or Marvel shows (the Daredevil Rooftop and the Nolan Batman fights come into mind here) for example. In the context of the show though...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

My head-canon has the sabers thicker because it is using a less sophisticated technology than to the ones in the PT onwards. In reality, I read somewhere the hilts were made thicker because the blades were practical and they had to fit in a power-source there. In Ahsoka they got away with...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

This is my thought too. I think he gets killed in the end by Sol or Osha/Mae, and then the 3 gets done for by the real Sith. I liked this episode. Has that slasher vibe to it. SmiloRen felt like a real threat.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Episode 4 was rough for me too. :ROFLMAO: The acting was really bland here, and the script felt disjointed. I felt the whole episode could have been 10 minutes long.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

To me, it was more of a "my religion is superior to yours" thing. If they do not think their own belief system is superior to that of the establishment (Jedi) then they probably wouldn't have any reason to stick to that belief. So it can still go either way. Either their belief system is...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I know it seems the consensus here is to hate on the series, but... Are they really standing against a Jedi "patriarchy"? I can hardly call the Jedi a patriarchy. They are more like the Empire in this case, the ruling class. There are many cases in the real world where the use of a...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I don't understand how people might think Disney is forcing people to refer to the Force as the Thread. They are basically 2 words of the same thing based out of different belief systems, one from the Jedi/Sith, while the other is from whatever witches these are. I do not think they are...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

This was ok for me too. Looks like the same people that hate on the current Star Wars (Andor excluded) tend to hate this too.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

I just watched this. It was enjoyable and had some nice moments. But it was pretty predictable and in the end not particularly memorable.

Star Wars Tales of the Empire - May 4th 2024 (Disney+)

This was pretty good. I was always interested in why Morgan was so loyal to Thrawn. I guess this gives an idea as to why. Initially I was interested in Morgan just because her actress Diana Inosanto, was from my country, and her father is a famous martial artist who was linked to Bruce Lee...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Disney + Animated Show

Not really. It was a pretty entertaining romp. The Bad Batch started off as my least liked Star Wars TV show but it grew on me. At the end, I ended up caring for the characters. In terms of moving the story forward, it did give us a good insight of how the transition from the Republic to...

I believe that was Wrecker's first line when they were first introduced in the Clone Wars series.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Disney + Animated Show

One more episode to go? There seems to be a lot of plot threads remaining. I don't know how they'd fit that all into a good ending unless the last episode is 1.5h long.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Disney + Animated Show

I guess Hunter knew Omega did the logical choice. He still looked angry at Crosshair though, but he knows he can't blame him. Yeah this one is probably my least favorite of the season so far. This basically brought us back to the same situation a few episodes back and now they have to talk to...

    Shōgun ( FX 2024 Miniseries / James Clavell )

This is good. Probably my favorite series right now. Can't wait to see where this goes (I did not read the book nor did I watch the 80's version).

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Disney + Animated Show

Double episode this week. Both really highlighted how evil and oppressive the Empire was. The one centered around Dr. Karr was really good.
