The hat is an updated one for Asmus' Gandalf the Grey figure. The sculpted one that initially came with that figure was not well received, so Asmus said they would develop a fabric one and include it at no extra charge with their (at the time) upcoming figures, like Gollum, Smeagol, Old Bilbo...

I second this hope! I kit-bashed 1/6 Joel and Ellie figures years ago and don't plan to replace them with LIM's versions unless they really blow me away (which, honestly, I'm expecting they will), but I would definitely be in for a "Winter" clothes/accessories pack to update my current figures...
