Again, where's the shine, where's the chrome?

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

I don't think they should reuse this sculpt as the base for the next clean figure because ultimately I suspect Rotfish is correct and they've once again shaped his face & head wrong BUT I also think franpincho is right - what we've seen today is what we're getting. Hot Toys will be happy with...

You might be right. And DX13 was the same. They do a reasonable job on his features, thereby making him recognizable, but they consistently get the general shape of his face and head wrong.

I only recall a couple of posts by Nick and myself that this comment could be directed at. I feel you've misunderstood. Without knowing exactly what fixing the discussed issues was going to entail, without knowing one way or another if Jazzinc was going to 'fix' all batches or just later ones...

Means DX13 isn't totally obsolete as a package and might retain some value even if it is less now. Some people might really want that statue and will pay for it, others don't care about it and it's no skin off their nose not having it.

and ''leave them to me, I will deal with them myself'' has also been one I often say.

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

Bear in mind that was DX13's prototype and not the final sculpts it ended up with. But man, the endo-parts on DX46 really need to stand out more. Not even a hint of plain silver there let alone chrome.

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

The front hair detailing makes me think new. It looks better, it looks taller even. But the temples, the very sides of the face and forehead make me think of DX13. Is it just a modified DX13 with some improvements but some old flaws not corrected? Or a brand new sculpt which happens to bring...

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

Well I mentioned that I probably will - but that's because I'm a Terminator obsessive. For people less obsessive but who already have DX13, hmmm. These are improvements that I can see in these pics - HT have gotten better at doing moving eyes so those look very realistic at least at prototype...

Hot Toys DX46: Terminator 2: Judgment Day - T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)

a-dev would like to get P.'s opinion :lol I'm glad that it's new sculpts. Detail in general is better than DX13. I'm concerned it might still have the same 'wide face' thing that DX13 had but I could be wrong. The endoskeleton parts are unfortunately still over-bloodied and are not standing...

    RIP James Earl Jones

I thought the actress was a perfectly good child Leia. But it should have been no more than a cameo. They need to be carbon-frozen before we lose them all.

That being the case I would finish paying for mine ASAP if I know they're fixing the issues on all Batmobiles - particularly this mold-indentation thing and canopies and panels not sitting correctly. Things like fully diecast rims, maybe it's too late for that no matter what and, well, OK.

I don't think Jazzinc would have deliberately and knowingly sent out defective molds to the Test Batch people. For one thing, they would want to be able to distinguish between the production flaws and damage caused during shipping. The most surefire way of being able to do that would be to send...

I've become quite patient when it comes to my toys. I am perfectly willing to wait as long as it takes for these various issues that have cropped up to be rectified. Canopy not sitting flush, gun panels possibly having a similar issue (Mr Mom's video), unintentional denting/injection mold...
