Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

Well, small changes make a big difference. I took my body apart and replaced a bunch of bits from another one. Its got the original midsection and legs and forearms, but the upper torso and arms have been changed. The neck has been hollowed so the fitting sits lower too. This makes the...

1/6 DARK TOYS DTM005 Collectible Figure MAX DX

Great work, K.bowen! I just replied on FB and then saw the photos here. Really making me think twice about getting my own. I was wondering if you're interested in sending me one of the sculpts to paint up as an experiment to see how they come up? I'm in Australia too and have a lot of painting...

Mars Toys 1/6 Riddler (Frank Gorshin)

I'm REALLLLY hopeful for a King Tut as Victor Buono needs more recognition and I'd love some representation of him in my collections. And the campness of his performance is beyond every other villain by far. But it's purely hope; and a Bookworm would be nice for the Roddy McDowall appreciation...

Mars Toys 1/6 Riddler (Frank Gorshin)

This is a great yardstick for how deep Mars are planning to go. I mean, compared to this Riddler release Joker looks almost 'bare bones'! Something I'd never thought of remotely considering 6 months ago. Interesting they've decided to move from the multiple figure releases to one huge deluxe...

Saturn Toys 1/6 '66 Batman and Robin

Really happy with these figures, it's a near perfect release and when considering the price point; it's beyond all expectations. I made some minor tweaks, but thought I'd share something very doable that I think makes a big difference to Robin. I wasn't too jazzed with how thin his tights were...

Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

I think there's a bunch of proportion issues once he's not wearing any coats: Head undersized Neck too long Hands too big Arms too long Torso too short/elongated A lot of these issues aren't that obvious when he's fully dressed, I think they cheated the size of the body so it looks more...

Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

Some box protectors I was about to throw out repurposed. I have ordered another shirt for this particular scene that's a bit closer, but I think I'll do body swap first as the right shoulder joint on this one is super loose and I've decided I don't like the overall arm to body proportions.

Saturn Toys 1/6 '66 Batman and Robin

Mine aren't too far away from arriving, but I'm thinking of something to put under Robin's tights to hide the knee joint a little more and hide some of the plastic shine that comes through, thinking about skin tone doll leggings? If they're stretchy enough. My partner's got a huge doll clothing...

1/6 DARK TOYS DTM005 Collectible Figure MAX DX

It's an Australian Cattle Dog, not a Dingo.. just cause pedantry is a virtue on this forum.

Saturn Toys 1/6 '66 Batman and Robin

Robin's cape looks too short to me based on that box image, but it looks corrrect in other images and the same as the Hot Toys original. I do hope there's some extras around as I missed the PO cut off.

And that belt buckle looks like it's made of soda can quality metal repurposed from a discount Santa Claus xmas decoration..

1/6 DARK TOYS DTM005 Collectible Figure MAX DX

I'm in two minds about this figure, as I was following this more for interest in Dark Toys quality in general than wanting the figure. I was much more interested in Wez as a Mad Max 2 representative in my collection than Gibson himself and was super unimpressed with every single Mad Max portrait...

1/6 DARK TOYS DTM005 Collectible Figure MAX DX

Not long to wait now. The damaged eye headsculpt looks better than the stock to me.. but not too jazzed on the disaparity between the head sculpt colour, body colour and even hand colour.. (Photos from TNS's Facebook page)

Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

Reworked the splatter effect with a more screen accurate bloody colour and position. Stripped the previous one off and much happier with this result. If anyone wants a super realistic blood paint that works great in this scale without any mixing I'd highly recommend red anodized chrome engine...

Mars Toys 1/6 Prank Villain (Three versions of Cesar Romero's Joker)

I'd be running that prison outfit through the wash a few times, dirtying it up inbetween washes. The newness of the fabric ruins any kind of jail uniform aesthetic for me. A tiny amount of black Rit dye will tone those trousers down.. but probably just getting a generic pair of dark brown/gray...

Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

Got my blood spatter done on the coat and chromed and spattered the axe. There's almost too many display options for this figure.. it's hard to think of anything long term, so I'm happy to keep changing it up every couple of weeks to get the most out of all the possibilities.

Iconiq Studios / El1ev1en / Kai Studio: American Psycho: Patrick Bateman

Got mine a couple of days ago. Reallly love this figure and the huge amount of effort Iconiq's put into it. If you're a big fan of the movie, which is me since it premiered, this is about as special as it gets. That said, it does need some customising to get it to the point I want it. Blood on...

Mars Toys 1/6 Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa set

Some more tweaks. Lightened the flesh tone along with the lips, added some blonder highlights to the eyebrows to give a little more definition to them and widened/lengthened the nose very slightly. Just tooling around doing some back and forth with the photo of Wilder on the top of the...

Mars Toys 1/6 Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa set

I'm seeing a lot more Gene Wilder in the sculpt in these new shots, but some angles make it less so, looks like one of those sculpts that in-hand looks a lot better than in photographs. I think adding a little bit of definition the mouth to enhance the unhinged smirk and either more white around...
