HT doesn't even seem to recognize NYCC. Just so happened that this is what HT has in slate to announce for this week and sent SS a copy for their own show.
HT will most likely announce more figures at their own pace in the next days/weeks.
Wasn't Kojun well known for sculpts that are only 90% of the way there? I recall people freaking out on his Tony Stark sculpts. :lol
Viva Lai the best so far. His sculpts also seem to retain much of their detail in production.
Same, I feel like it's due to the somewhat boring character design (and now I'm worried about the long neck and small helmet of the V1, which kinda ruins the illusion of a shrunk down Din Djarin).
Though maybe S2 will change my mind.
Re: Speculation - Next Hot Toys CW Commanders
Wolffe and Bly would be money makers for HT, so those are most probably next.
I'd snap up the TCW 501st Arcs though. Would love a Rex-and-the-Boys display flanking Ashoka.
Agreed on HT double dipping. It was their MO with Marvel, especially IM diecast, and it worked.
With that said, I'm very much down for an animated Rex to go with the realistic one. :lol
Most likely the Disney marketing machinery at work. :monkey4
TCW S7 was clearly aimed at us who grew up with the PT, and now you can see the FB Clone Wars groups going wild with all the new (and old c. 2008) toys.
Wait for Filbars to have them in-stock. Or better yet, try to get in touch with them now, and ask if they can still reserve one for you. I've heard some people were able to do that for certain figures.
