NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

It's sad that the NECA has more fidelity to the suit than either of Hot Toys' releases (the texture of the suit; the torso armor piece being a completely separate element; an unmistakable Keaton sculpt UNDER the cowl that truly feels recessed inside, etc). This figure shows its age, sure, and...

Mars Toys 1/6 Penguin (Burgess Meredith)

Mars seems to hop from figure to figure and priority seems to be always go to what the latest one they are fixated on is. Right now, I think it's Tommy Lee Jones Two-Face. I have the Gorshin Riddler set and Forever Two-Face both on pre-order, and I can't wait to pre-order this Penguin, so I hope...

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

Moveable eyes with face plates seems to be the best compromise, imo. Static head-sculpts when done well can look exceptional. But being able to completely change a likeness with eye placement seems more "deluxe." At least to me.

Hot Toys: Batman 85 Years Announcement Speculation

I'd have to say a full-blown 2.0 Nicholson, considering other than third party, we're not likely to get it from anywhere else. Jazzinc is doing a pretty good Catwoman and seems to have plans for Penguin. Mars is giving us pretty great '66 and Forever stuff. Panther Suit Kilmer would be my...

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

I never noticed that before, but you're right! I wonder what the thought process was there. I understand they couldn't afford Nicholson, fine, but, Returns suit Batman would have been nice. I know, around that time, someone asked on Twitter, "will you do Batman Forever figures?" And Randy's...

NECA: 1/4 Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure

I always wished NECA would have made MORE 1/4 scale figures. The four Burton figures (Batman, Catwoman, Sewer Penguin and Mayor Penguin) were all knock-outs, especially for the price point. I thought the Superman '78 figure was great, too, though I didn't hang onto mine. Never bothered with the...

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Seeing those Flash armory pics again makes me so sad. Even if they had just done the battle-damaged suit and committed to it fully, that would have been a 10/10 figure. Especially with that cathedral base. :(

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

"Holier than thou," "judgmental," "passive-aggressive." It's weird how personally you all take a differing opinion. If this were a Chris O'Donnell Robin figure and the prevailing sentiment was, "let's all vote for the sweatpants look and bare-feet from the laundry scene 🤤" over, you know...

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

It's funny how I got hostility when I suggested that the tongue-out sculpt was just there to sexualize her

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Is there anybody who isn't interested in their base piece that would be willing to part with it? It's the main regret I have after cancelling. I'm a HUGE Nicholson Joker fan and mainly wanted the gargoyle to pair with him.

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

All I'll say is if this release ***** the bed (especially after the '89 2.0!), I'll be in a very bad place, emotionally. Jazzinc, may the odds be ever in your favor.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

If they can't put it together that people are only cancelling because of their inept design choices and not because of the IP itself, they're clueless.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Well, I cancelled my order today. :( That texture and those face-plates killed it for me. If anybody's waitlist converted, you're welcome. I hope I don't live to regret passing on this, solely for that Gargoyle base.

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

Yes! A slight, sultry smirk and a playful, gleeful action smile. Those would be the winners. That would also capture the dichotomy between her at the beginning of her character arc vs. the battle-damaged one showing her at the end of it.

Hot Toys 1992 Batman Returns 2.0

This. It's ironically the only Batman film where the characters feel human (despite all of them having animal avatars that they use as a pretext to work through their pain and dysfunction).

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

She has her tongue out for literally maybe ten seconds of screen-time in a two hour film (from memory: bathing herself in Penguin's bedroom and when she licks Batman on the rooftop after the mistletoe line). To me, if the priority is rendering a "legacy character" to figure-form, and the main...

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

Yeah, I'm with the people saying it feels like the understanding was no moveable eyes meant that the 3 head-sculpts would compensate for that. If the standard edition only has ONE static head-sculpt, and a neutral, boring one at that, that's literally giving me less than NECA did in 2017... For...

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

What percentage of Hot Toys' customer base is in the U.S. vs. China?

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

This was my first ever Hot Toys pre-order (ordered through Sideshow). I've obviously never cancelled an order. I know they say "non-refundable deposit," buttttt, do they hold firm to that? It stings to think nearly $40 would be down the drain on top of the sourness of being forced to cancel, not...
