Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (June 30th, 2023)

The crazy thing about this movie is that it cost up to $300m to make, yet Raiders cost $20m, which adjusted for inflation is about $60m. That means DoD cost up to six times as much as Raiders, despite Raiders using all real sets and special effects. I thought the whole point of CGI was to reduce...

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 (July 14th, 2023)

98% on RT from 109 reviews - this is very promising! Let's hope the audience agrees like Top Gun: Maverick, and not like TLJ...

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 (July 14th, 2023)

Yeah, movies usually open on Thursdays and sometimes even on Wednesday nights. I have to wait to next week now since my partner is away until Sunday - GRR!

    The Witcher netflix series

No one expects the shows to be exactly like the books, however when the changes made are far worse than the source material (like in The Witcher TV show), then of course people are going to complain. Also, there's a difference to changing the story compared to changing the fundamentals of the...

    Star Trek: Picard

Season 3 was fantastic, and the MCU Secret Invasion can only dream of making an infiltration story like Picard S3. If only Star Wars could have given us a farewell like this, but instead we got the hot garbage of the ST. If you're interested, you can watch S3 without having seen the first two...

    TMNT (teenage mutant ninja turtles)

I've had to make do with the Mondo Leonardo for now, but I too hope for either a movie or original cartoon 1/6 Leonardo.

DAMTOYS 78098 1/6 Scale Bravo Two Zero British SAS Patrol leader

I'm very happy to see this and I can get a decent Sean Bean sculpt that I can use for a Richard Sharpe custom figure. I've read quiet a few Chris Ryan books, but never his version of this story, nor have I read/watched "Bravo Two Zero", so it looks like I need to get on to that.

Hot Toys Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny

Haha, thanks. They aren't wrong to a degree, but it is all over the top. What I actually care more about is the declining quality of these movies, and for me life is too short to watch mediocre movies at the cinema, although I will watch them at home.

    Mezco Indiana Jones

From memory you can pay a non-refundable deposit if you pay by credit card, but if you pay by PayPal you have to pay the whole thing upfront. Also, they seem to be keeping the window open on these things a little longer. Years ago I remember exclusives being suddenly released for pre-order at...

Hot Toys Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny

Thanks for the quick review. That's basically what I've heard when the extremes are removed.

Hot Toys Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny

Hard pass on old Indy in a movie I'll likely dislike and won't be seeing at the cinema. But it does give us hope that a young Indy (like every other company is releasing) will be released. As others have mentioned, you really just need a younger head.

AUGTOYS - 1/6 Dune Action Figures (Licensed)

I'm the same, as I want to see what InArt produces. There's a fair bit of timebto order this.

I don't understand the attraction to 1/12 scale figures

There's also the cost factor. You can buy a Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black Series figure for around $25, compared to ten times that for one Hot Toys figure. For some, this is all they can justify for an action figure, for others it allows army building with vehicles and playsets, and there...

Berserk Collectibles Show Us Some Berserk/Manga Disscussion

Did you accidentally post this in the wrong thread? Geralt is cool and all, but we all know Guts would monster him if they ever fought.

1/6 DID - A80164 WWII General Of The United States Army George Smith Patton Jr. + E60071 Accessory Kit

Mine is likely to arrive on Monday, so you're lucky getting it now. What's your overall opinion?

Joy Toys Warhammer 40K 1/18 Figures

The Emperor would be an especially cool figure too.

PRESENT TOYS PT.47 The Agent - aka Kingsman's Eggsy

It's a great looking figure and I love the first movie, but alas, in my now limited collection, he doesn't make the cut. I am surprised that there isn't more interet though.

Joy Toys Warhammer 40K 1/18 Figures

Ultramarines were always my #1 for two reasons: 1. Ultramarine blue is the best colour, and 2. The upside down Omega symbol, as I love Omega watches. My only issues with these figures is the cost for a such a small figure. As someone who mostly collects 1/6 scale, I don't mind going down to...

1/6 DID - A80164 WWII General Of The United States Army George Smith Patton Jr. + E60071 Accessory Kit

Yep, me too. This didn't take long at all and came way earlier than the estimated Q3 delivery date. That said, I've paid for both Patton and the accessory set and soon I'll have a figure from my favourite movie of all time!

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

I wasn't born until 1979, so ROTJ was my SW childhood movie (ESB as an adult) as that's the one I remember all the hype for. I never saw any at the theater, alas. We had all three on VHS as a kid, but ROTJ was my favourite. As I got older, ESB became my favourite. When the special editions...
