    MAFEX The Terminator

That's the same group of four characters I'm looking to put together, except I want the Endoskeleton. They look great together, so maybe I'll get this Arnie now to fill the gap... I have the diecast Hagane Works RoboCop, Mezco Predator is inbound, and Mezco Big Chap needs to be received by my...

    Avatar: The Way of Water

This movie completely craps on Thor Love and Thunder, so this is a pleasing outcome.

    Top Gun: Maverick

For me it's in the top 2, but I think Avengers Infinity War is the best. It was a culmination of ten years of MCU films that amazingly tied it all together so well. It's only daylight between the two and then a gap after Maverick.

    Avatar: The Way of Water

I've seen heaps of movies by myself. I used to live near a local, non-chain cinema that was a lot cheaper than the big chain here. On some days I used to just watch two or three movies a day. I had to pay for every movie though.

    It’s officially collecting season!

    So, you're Dutch?

    It’s officially collecting season!

It's only 21 degrees Celsius (the REAL temperature measurement scale ;) ) here in Adelaide, South Australia - this is about 70 Fahrenheit.

Fariboles: Asterix and Obelix - Full Speed Gauls!

Yeah, I love me some Asterix and Obelix, but 1,490 EUR ($2,365 AUD) is a joke for something at that scale, even as cool as it looks.

    Future of DC Films (DCEU)

I have to laugh because it is All Might!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (June 30th, 2023)

Of course, humour is part of Star Wars, the difference is that the humour in ROTJ wasn't lame and was more subtle, while in TLJ it was lame and had the subtlety of a sledgehammer. As soon as I saw that scene with Huxley and Poe at the start and a few people in the cinema groaned, I had a bad...

    Future of DC Films (DCEU)

Honestly guys, I admire your passion, but the whole Snyderverse was the best vs Snyderverse was crap debate is getting annoying after pages of it. The DCEU and Snyderverse weren't failures but weren't as popular as the MCU overall. DC don't like being second fiddle to Marvel, so they want to...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

Gah, why?!?!?! Just kidding - congrats on getting your grail figure!

    Mezco One:12 Predator

The repaint has really elevated the figure - great work!
  13. JMT1979

    MAFEX The Terminator

Malcolm McDowell is 5'9", so he's definitely way oversized! It's interesting to hear that MAFEX are inconsistent. I had their Astro Boy figure and he was 6" and wasn't 1/12 scale - it looked really weird. I've never heard of any contention with Arnie's height and he seems 6'2" in movies, but...

    Future of DC Films (DCEU)

I pretty much have the same mindset as you and have the same view on all the movies you mentioned. I just don't care about the MCU post-Endgame, except for Spider-Man. I tried watching the start of Phase 4, but the mediocrity killed it for me. Also, in terms of run time we've probably had more...

    Avatar: The Way of Water

Apparently, filming for Avatar 3 has long been completed and that JC has handed in his first cut of the movie clocking in at 9 hours: Avatar 3 - Wikipedia It seems that Avatar 2 and 3 were filmed together, so if Avatar 2 doesn't get to $2 billion, then perhaps the combined box office of 2 and 3...

    Future of DC Films (DCEU)

Firstly, I love All Might, so great choice in username and avatar. I think you're going to get a lot of people disagreeing with you, but you do make some good points. I do like/love fragments of the DCEU, but there were movies that I hated when seeing at the cinema like BvS, Justice League and...

    MAFEX The Terminator

I'm not sure about him being undersized. Peter Weller is 6' and Arnie is 6'2", and Peter wearing the Robocop suit would add 1-2 inches to his height, as well as adding some bulk, so to me it seems fine. Of course, characters can have official heights that don't align with the height of the...

Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

Indeed! I always face the same dilemma when buying from Sideshow. The BOGO deal basically made two figures the same price I'd be able to buy two figures locally due to the DHL only shipping and the 10% GST (goods and services tax) they put on to the total - I'm not sure why postage also incurs...
