I feel Jada Toys is the one company that managed to make a good hybrid between a two-seater and the elongated aesthethic of the design. I find the idea of shortening the vehicle to fit a certain display cabinet over going for most commonly seen source material unfortunate. I don't understand...

I'm pretty certain it is a licencing issue. Maybe the now revealed 4" 1989 Batman from Mezco is the reason. Either way, I am overjoyed we are finally getting an SA Batman Returns figure.

McFarlane sure has the spirit of a troll in him. They could get everything right for the same cost as getting them wrong (Todd's "artistic licence" to deviate from the source material whenever he feels like it). Seriously, what happened? In the late 90's / early 2000's his Movie Maniacs line...

The only reason I'd consider double-dipping was if the skintone was a bit brighter this time around. That and an updated cape. The art deco gargoyle base is a nice touch, too. It's a rather iconic set piece, that I might remember more from the additional media (the many video games, etc.).

Stop the press! Is that a Mime Joker headsculpt with custom sculpted eyelids? If so, how did you sculpt those onto the existing figure? I bought an extra Mime Joker headsculpt to do a repaint of this kind.
