EXO-6 Star Trek “The Motion Picture (TMP)” Figures

I hope they do TWOK figures in both a basic and deluxe version. I don’t need Spock’s warp core thing. But I want to display Kirk in the basic uniform with the book and also with the winter jacket.

EXO-6 Star Trek “The Motion Picture (TMP)” Figures

Retailers have them up for what they are calling “preorder”. They don’t have them currently in hand. It will be interesting to see if they get the allotment they think ( hope) they were alloted. Cotswold Collectibles have already admitted to to misunderstanding they had regarding the Admiral...

EXO-6 Star Trek “The Motion Picture (TMP)” Figures

Isn’t the situation that TMP he made a set amount (no one but the almighty knows what that number is) that are premade and ready to go. Whereas “preorders” are manufactured after the preorders are placed and at least that many are made and guaranteed to those who have placed a deposit.

Those folded hands sure are interesting. Nothing said on EXO-6 as to special hands or how many sets. But the pics include at least on set of folded hands and a “Live Long and Prosper”

I wasn’t making a point. I was asking a question. You have essentially answered it.

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I certainly see a consumer preferring a level of security from a retailer within his own national borders. But here we have a third rung on the ladder. Sideshow becomes a distributor of sorts within US. And still at every rung the same price is presented to the consumer. Obviously there is a...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Interesting —- EXO-6 sells direct to each of us individual private collectors. EXO-6 then also sells to Sideshow. Sideshow then supplies Cotswold ( amongst others I guess) . So under that circumstance the product travels through two more … uh additional steps (or … companies) . Each of those...

Gee, I wonder if those hands are molded in one piece or they are two hands that lock together ?

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

btw , I wasn’t trying to be insulting when I said I didn’t know most of those characters. From my perspective that is a good thing. I need not sit on the edge of my seat waiting for the opportunity to hit the button to get in my order before a sell out as I did w/ TMP Kirk and have been...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I respect your opinion. But I think where we were going with the topic was the feasibility of production numbers ( or ratio) of pre-ordered characters vs. “immediate release “ characters. Some were indicating that the smaller the run on a figure would indicate a greater cost to produce per...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

I wasn’t suggesting that he make only 100 figures, I guess I was merely trying to present the concept of estimating market desire and adding 10 %. ( Personally I don’t don’t know the % above preorder that a manufacturer would estimate . Maybe it’s 25 % . I dunno). The ”immediate release” w/o...

I don’t see why you would come to that conclusion. With preorders he can estimate the amount to produce. He gets 100 preorders — He makes 110 figures. He gets 1,000 preorders — He makes 1,100 figures. + he brings in something with the non-refundable deposit. With immediate production and release...

Yeah, I don’t know who most of those characters are, but I guess I see the pattern you have established. Other than Possibly Saavik they would all be an easy pass.

    Present Toys "Raider Jones" figure

I’m back and forth. On the ”pleather“ side : It’s pretty uniform devoid of the imperfections expected in real animal skin ie learher. On the leather side: It does seem to have some stretch and wrinkle abilities.….but on the other hand it doesn’t scratch too easily. I did not expect the jacket...

    Present Toys "Raider Jones" figure

Yeah, my Hot Toys jacket hasn’t held up too well. Still on the figure in the posed position but in pretty bad shape. The other leather ( holster, belt) disintegrated. I found that very distressing give the cost of that figure.

https://www.wikihow.com/Identify-Genuine-Leather I’m no expert and can’t make up my mind . There appear to be some qualities that match up to leather. Others that match up to “pleather“

It is his recent “logistical” statements re: Kolinar Spock that sets that anxiety in motion. The thing sells out during the 45 minutes that I’m on the road or in a dental chair I will be quite sad. I would hope I could catch up with Sideshow or Cotswold but that may not be easy either.

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

What will the other “immediate release” characters be? I would very much like the Kolinar Spock but I’m getting tired of the drama and would like to rest for a while after that and preorder TWOK when they become available to do so .

    Present Toys "Raider Jones" figure

I received my second issue Jones. I do not own a first issue. The jacket does seem thin to me. I expected a big thick bulky piece of unlined leather. I questioned if it is in fact real leather. With regard to the pants if I want to switch out the pants for Sideshow how do I remove the shoes...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Received Admiral Kirk today from my neighbor who took in the mail.My first EXO-6 figure. My thoughts: Yes the box and presentation is impressive considering that it’s lite on accessories. I like the little insert of the shuttle entry bay door or whatever it is. I like the metal badge. I...
