My thought on the issue too. Sideshow needs to replace the hands. One of the thumbs on mine is loose, it looks better, but my obsessive compulsion would prefer a factory fix for what we paid. This coupled with the Beetlejuice figure prototype and pricing is turning people off them right now...

I could not live with it so had to do the mod by opening the hands also. I tried the twist first but the hands were separating, so I figured I may as well open them up. I guess it depends on how much glue was used inside. I am much more happy with the figure, but still annoyed with Sideshow...

Just ugly from so many angles...less is more with pics on this one. The hips, calves, shoulders all look wonky. I like the head but easy pass on this one. Hammerhead is the only one I will still cough up for.

$21 in material and thread from Joanne Fabrics. I reused the lining and zipper, as well as the strap buckles from the original jacket.

Thanks. I did cut the old jacket off. I did not have to break it to get the new jack on because the material had a little give to stretch, and making the side straps adjusttable gave me a little more wiggle room.

It actually sounds more like it's a local authorized retailer that they are contacting to pick it up. If so I'm sure they will let them sell it locally at a steep discount. It actually makes sense to me instead of them eating the shipping charges.

Add one to the return to Sideshow. Mine had two scuffs on passenger side. Canopy not too bad, but by window was scratched in. Sideshow can choke on the damaged ones as far as I'm concerned. Partial refund declined. I just can't justify keeping it with the damage. I can't see past at $500.
