InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Their skin will be hyper-detailed to an off putting and almost uncanny degree and they will cost 8k for all four.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

They should make an OCD thread to move all this to...

All Mondo X-Men Animated Figure Thread

It's just a personal preference. I think the cell shaded look is just too messy for my tastes.

All Mondo X-Men Animated Figure Thread

I hope this sells well because I would like to see them do more of these. Re-release Cyclops, Gambit and Jubilee without all that dumb cell shading.

All Mondo X-Men Animated Figure Thread

As an old-school Lee/Claremont fan, I had to grab the Rogue.
  6. Mr.Tanker

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Maybe I am just in the minority, but I prefer the 2.0, out of all of these.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I have the molded version on pre-order, and therefore have no financially invested reason to defend the rooted. I think the rooted looks good—it just needs some styling out of the box.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

As someone who is a fan of both of those films, they have nowhere near the cultural reach or fanbase of LotR. Not even a fraction.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

Average time from overseas release to Sideshow getting their inventory is 1–2 months. It's only been a month (end of June) for Hono Wolverine. Sideshow will most like get Bats in mid-September.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

If people are nitpicking this figure, then they are never going to be happy with anything ever.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

The open mouth faceplate is terrible, but I think the other two look amazing. I ordered a replacement cape, and the textured suit doesn't bother me at all. I am very happy and can't wait for this to ship.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

A few of these shots legitimately look like movie stills.

    Hot Toys MMS 692 + 693 BATMAN (1989) 1/6 scale Batman 2.0

    Well this turned out great.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I think, more than anything, that the shoulders on the Hot Toys are far too narrow. And that also is what is making the head look oversized.

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

I really like the molded hair version of this.

***!!!!BEWARE SPOILERS!!!!*** Deadpool & Wolverine Figure Speculation

As an old school Claremont/Byrne guy, I just want Patch and the brown suit.
  17. Mr.Tanker

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

"Screen accuracy" is always such an ephemeral thing. Typically there are multiple versions of suits, depending on what the shot requires. A hero suit for up close detail shots, a general all purpose suit that is easier for the actor to move and wear, a stunt suit, which is typically simplified...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I just noticed that there are seams where the horse legs meet the body. Same for the neck. I wonder if there will be interchangeable legs, like the Hot Toys Dewback, which would allow you have different poses. (And some variation, if you buy more than one.)
  19. Mr.Tanker

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

I think the color and scale of the horse looks good.
  20. Mr.Tanker

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Nazgul 1:6

Given InArt's track record so far, I am willing to believe this is an "in-progress prototype."
