Not necessarily. The force awakens figures were significantly over produced and that is why they dropped in price. The last Jedi figures didn?t experience such a drop.

I bet there is some deleted scenes where he has the hood up. With the choppy editing it seems very likely that they cut a ton of footage out. I wish there had been a scene with the hood up as I think it helps to combine the look of TFA and TLJ.

I agree that the body looks better than the Hot Toys. Especially the ESB. Do you have any trouble posing the legs? I found the pants to be very restrictive. I had to use a lot of force to pull them up just so I could get a little outward movement. Maybe I need to do more to adjust though.

I just discovered this 30 cm 1976 Kong done by Mark Seng Yang and it is exactly what I want in a rendition of that Kong. I bet it would go great next to the xplus 1984 Godzilla.
