Sideshow sculpted a new dome for the latest version of their 1/6 figure. They didn’t announce it our anything. Just changed the pictures on the website.

The pictures on the sideshow site are not using the dome that originally came with the figure unless the lighting is doing some real magic. Also, they changed the pictures and the box. Pretty sure it is a new dome.

I think the mask is the same but I can’t be sure. I think it looks alot better because of the new dome. The shape of the dome now looks to be more accurate than hot toys. It is interesting that they made this change with no mention of it in the product description.

It looks like sideshow is releasing their Vader with a new helmet. The helmet looks pretty decent. At least much better than the previous one.

Right there with you. The helmet is the most important part. Which is why I am saddened by the ESB helmet on this figure. The dome didn’t improve and the mask is a step back. A missed opportunity since it is their third attempt at Vader.

Wow, that boba doesn’t hold a candle to the mafex version. The Vader looks good except for the cape.

I agree about the potf2 figures. I used to think they were trash but I now find those roided proportions and lack of details charming. I wouldn’t want to buy anymore figures like that but I appreciate the unique style of the ones I have.

Finally! I was able to get the figures by keeping the sold out ones form yesterday in my cart. I had the checkout page loaded up before they went live today and as soon as noon hit I just continued with checkout. This allowed me to bypass that stuck checkout button and I was done in about 25...
