Ghost Toys 1/6 Gotham Bat Wayne GH-010

Seems like every new Bale sculpt I see, that scar around his eye gets bigger and more pronounced. I watch that movie in 4K and the scar is barely noticeable, this sculpt it's like a worm is crawling on his face.

The Three Musketeers Parts I & II (2023)

Curious if anyone has seen these yet. They are French films, but I'd read that they were sort of "Americanized", and I think having Eva Green and Vincent Cassel be in the main cast makes it easy for American audiences to acclimate to the film by providing recognizable faces. I'm only familiar...

Man, I bet Hono Studios is very worried about Hot Toys announcing more comic-based figures. :monkey3

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I tracked it down, and from my POV, it appears they are being very tongue-in-cheek, and riffing off the interviewer starting off the conversation by asking them to respond to the claim that this show is the 'gayest Star Wars ever" Is this the problem that we're having? People are taking...

Folks, please refrain from making jokes at the expense of any particular group or label, even if you belong to such a group, and you are poking fun at yourself.

    3.75" Collecting Thread

Dang, this is cool as hell. Just came across this on YouTube. I was watching it, thinking "That's cool, but I sold all my figures, so I have nothing to display it with" ... then not two seconds later, they started showing all the figures it comes with. The Tonnika Sisters, hunh? That's pretty...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I watched the first two episodes, and oddly enough, the one thing that I noticed was the film grain. As far as I understand, most content is filmed digitally these days, so I thought it was interesting they went to the length of making it look like film, or at least trying to bring it in-line...

It's almost always resin. Traditional sculptors will sculpt in various mediums, but usually some form of clay, maybe wax, but ultimately that approved sculpt will be cast in resin, for security and durability, because waxes and clays are always soft, some you can heat up to "cook" so it hardens...

Doesn't work because most production heads are PVC which is a softer plastic and doesn't hold sharp detail. We could have production heads in a material that holds more detail, but then it would be more prone to damage, because it's a harder material.

Just get some flakes in a paper towel, like the cheap kind that are more paper than cloth, the brown kind, or something similar, maybe brown paper lunch bag, whatever you've got around. And you can just sort of 'grind' it in the paper, between your fingers, that should break it up enough to...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Gandalf 1:6

I know this is way too much work, but what I've seen other painters do is use a blade to scrape off shavings of the "lead" and get it into a powder, and then use a brush, like a make-up brush, to apply it. Usually the skintone color/effect is achieved with powdered pigments, like pastels, and...

InArt: The Lord of the Rings - Aragorn 1:6

With how long Gandalf took, and already seeing Aragorn start to trickle out, it makes it seem like wait is not quite so long. Hopefully, the 'influencers' are honest with their feedback and don't just kiss butt to ensure their first batch privileges.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Thanks for the spoiler-free review. It's certainly intriguing enough to check out. I've not seen Russian Doll, though I've read it was very good. Reading more about the creative behind it, Amy Poehler being included as well, it does interest me, but alas, there are only so many hours in the...

Have I been pronouncing Queen Amidala incorrectly all this time? Why does George Lucas say "EE-MEE-dah-lah"? Is it not "Ah-meh-dah-lah"?

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Now that I've engaged with this issue for a while, I feel like the disagreement is one side feels like diversity is being prioritized over quality at the expense of story, and the other side feels like the story is suffering because content/schedule is being prioritized over quality. My issue...

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

Ah, I see. Sounds like moving the goalposts. She IS experienced, just not the kind that you feel is appropriate. How did American Graffiti's success qualify George Lucas to write/direct Star Wars? Did Graffiti have space battles, lightsaber duels? Did it revolutionize visual effects? How did...
