Mine are pretty straight and not as angled as yours. Are you able to connect the tentacles still? If so, then its not super necessary for those base ball joints to move since the jacket is covering those parts mostly.

Just got this guy in today. Love this figure! The tentacles are definitely the highlight and love all the ball joints on every single joint! Definitely has the look down with his goggles on.

Mine arrived a couple days ago and man...this guy is so worth it and so huge! I have a lot of big figs but this guy really stands out probably more than any of those.

The figure has ankle articulation so you should just be able to pivot the ankle to flatten it.

Most people do not know that he has a swivel at the leg where the extender area meets the upper thigh part. Could it be that its just not straightened out for you on yours? Try swiveling it and seeing if it evens out. The pics look a little like one leg is turned a little bit. edit: oops...

This guy is great! I just realized too that the legs do swivel at the "knee" joints where the leg extensions meet the upper part of the leg. Just adds to the awesomeness of the figure.
