I bought the japanese gold version yesterday, it seems the new goku is fully flat plastic compare to previous figuarts. It doesnt reflect light much at all. Overall i felt ok with the figure, but for me the body look to bulked for all his faces as none of them look very serious or seems small.

Its a repainted hybrid kid goku, nice scale to the figuarts. For the trunks, Im not really excited about getting the head. I really prefer a much taller trunks for it too. Elot

Taobao is a reputable site, it was the largest retail online trade market in china, a lot of people from hong kong purchase stuff from the site. But be aware it is individual sale so it is not guaranteed, but im sure it is not scam. Elot

From what i understand from the taobao site, he was only selling the head and cross hand for price of $5. You still have to own the vegeta body. who knows he might package one over time. Elot

Hey timone, Most of my current customs are airbrushed with two tone colors, even the skin. Just one color is really bland and boring. I plan to repaint the hair and the eyes only. For the normal form goku I might make the end of dbz goku that's all, and probably the one with the blue shirt...

I really like the character design of ssj4 goku, bebi vegeta, super 17 and some of the dragons. Other than that i never like the storyline. But honestly i like the opening song and that very ending goku sequence with flashback in 2000. That sequence is my extreme spoiler how cell and buu died...

Yes, each sequence are drawn by different person / different department. When I bought cels, I have a couple of timing sheets that was sign by different key artist. They don't actually follow each other. Each artist / group were given a set of template called Setting / Settei in Japan...

I really like the saiyan saga looks for collection too. The reason I never displayed a saiyan saga vegeta because he looks overgrown in that armor when displayed along with the other figuarts. He was supposed to be as tall as krillin with bigger head like this old statue I had.

ssj2 goku is nice but for a distant display point of view, its hard to point out the difference. The SDCC orange color gi is best for it.

I don't have big shelf too so most of my non figuarts are hidden in a closet. I only got a big collection of goku figures. The stuff on the bottom right are my $$$$ worth of dbz and anime cells.
