1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: JYN ERSO

Thanks all! Her joints and boots are so solid she can hold all those poses easily through that swing. There are lots of free gifmakers online so it's pretty easy to do once you have the pics taken. The tricky part is varying the timing of each frame so there seems to be acceleration and pause in...

Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars Episode VII: Rey 1/6th Collectible Figure

Thanks all! She really holds poses well. That stand is actually from my MAFEX Wonder Woman, and it's pretty crappy. The SHFiguarts one is much better and is being used to hold up my WW in a flying pose. They both use a claw system but the SHF one is very sturdy and would work well for 1/6. I...

Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars Episode VII: Rey 1/6th Collectible Figure

I'm a little late in posting pics of mine, but I really love this figure.

    Hot Toys 1/6 Hoth Leia

I agree, although I still think she looks great even straight on.

1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: JYN ERSO

You're welcome WesMordine, that stuff is awesome! Perfect for any application where you don't want to glue things down permanently but need a secure hold. Also, I just went with photobucket instead for the gifs.

1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: JYN ERSO

Ahh, I use the best kept modeling secret--Blutack! Yes, it's annoying that closed hand wasn't designed properly for the baton. I have a question of my own: is there any way to upload gifs directly? I've been trying to do that as an attachment but all it does is attach a small jpg thumbnail.

1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: JYN ERSO

Oddly enough almost all of my recent purchases this past year have been HT ladies and mostly of the SW variety: Jyn dx, Rey (TFA 1.0), both Leias, WW. I can see why so many think the Jyn deluxe was figure of the year, it really is an incredible set and is such high quality. So many looks, so...

1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

That might have been me, but I got the idea from another freak when the figure first came out, to give credit due. But yours is nice and posable, while mine is so heavy it just hangs down. I also found mine at Michael's but it was a single chain and more expensive, I forget how much. I'm going...

1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

Some more fun with posing. Thanks to the talented artist at deviantart (goxiii) for giving me the pose idea (I don't think it's an actual movie still from BVS). I think my hair mods work better with this kind of windblown look. The layers give it some lightness and "movement" (something I strive...

1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

I decided I didn't like the roughness of the supplied Lasso of Truth so I took an earlier poster's suggestion (I forgot who, but thanks for the idea! :hi5:) and bought a gold chain at my local Michael's. Just a cheap 30" gold plated snake chain, but I think it looks much nicer and has some real...

1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and I think this is a fantastic figure, now one of my faves. Mine needed a few tweaks to make it better, though. For some reason, mine came with the armor hanging quite low on the torso (it seems inconsistent from figure to figure with the pics so far from...

    Asmus Toys : Aragorn thread

That really is an excellent rehairing job on your Asmus sculpt, Rzeznikk! (Love the Conan too!) Although, I couldn't help but notice that the only two Asmus parts you used on your Aragorn are the modified headsculpt and the cloak. The rest is all ACI (gear, clothing, maybe body too?), am I...

    Asmus Toys: Eowyn in Armor

Yes, even on his knees he's a full 12+" high, as tall as a regular figure! I have a new cabinet with adjustable glass shelves where I've spaced it at over 17" to accommodate horses and tall gear, but I bought him as an "accessory" to Eowyn, so on his knees he'll stay! :eowyn

    Asmus Toys: Eowyn in Armor

Hi RandomHero, sounds like you have no experience with figures or modeling, so I'm going to have to be a wet blanket and say no, a beginner cannot do the things I did, certainly not on a first try. I altered every piece on that figure, some of them completely scratchbuilt from leather...

ACI Toys: 1/6 ARAGORN (Improved Production Copy updated!)

Thanks guys! It's great to hear when my work inspires others to try working on their figures to improve them. I tend to lose interest in the few figures I buy and display out of the box, no matter how nice. But the ones I customize or build are the ones I take pride in and enjoy the most...

ACI Toys: 1/6 ARAGORN (Improved Production Copy updated!)

I've continued to upgrade and update my ACI Aragorn since I "completed" him last fall, but have only just started posting pics and descriptions recently. I encourage anyone who's interested to visit my thread over at OSW to see more detailed descriptions. However, I wanted to post a few pics...

    Asmus Toys : Aragorn thread

Thanks guys! Geb, the chainmail is from COO. I do encourage everyone to check out the OSW thread I linked to above. It gives all the details about what I used and customized.
