Anyone else finding the stand totally inappropriate for this guy? After 5 minutes of working with it I put them on the eBay shelf. First thought was skip the stand altogether but with 8 that’s asking for trouble, been there, screwed that up. The dynamic stands from the 501st clone well work...
Does anyone have a suggestion for a neck segment and peg that would allow the Pepper Potts head sculpt from her Iron Man 3 figure to be used on this one? The armored neck is easily removed, now I just need to find something that fits.
A bath in Isopropyl alcohol allowed about 99% of the paint and weathering to wipe right off. Some of the blue striping floated off like it was a decal, others required a second dunk. Based on Magnusstewardson's comment it sounds like there is some variability in the helmet paint application...
I've found that if you soak the helmet, or any armor, in isopropyl alcohol for a couple hours you can wipe the paint right off down to the plastic. The plastic actually has a white color that would make for an interesting "Shiny". The photo is from an Ahsoka helmet I broke down but I'd think...
The photo shows Captain Rex after a good cleaning with 91% Isopropyl alcohol. The green tint comes off pretty easily. The blue markings are only slightly more robust than the green tint so care is warranted there. The dark weathering and white paint do not seem to be affected. He fits in...
Great figure, good value, odd green tint as others have said. I was surprised the pauldron was glued to the armor and the ammo pouch is magnetic. The helmet accessories are interesting and can be shared with the 501st trooper as those earpieces pop out too but take a bit more force. The...
I did try isopropyl alcohol at first but it had no effect. The outer coating with the color rubs off with a bit of thumb pressure. Make sure you get it all or you’ll have dark spots. After that I rinsed it and dunked it right in the bottle of dye, 15 minutes first then another 6.
I wanted to pass on a PSA about the arms on this figure. I didn't have any problems with the seamless arms on the first version of Gamora and am disappointed in the look of the bare arms on this one, it limits the posing opportunities. The arms are swappable between the two figures though the...
Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)
Anyone else think the fidelity of the battle droid's blaster rifle so far exceeds that of the battle droid itself that it's almost comical? It's pretty clear a battle droid is in the works. Hot Toys, put me...
It looks to be sold out already. The link from my order shows it out of stock and discontinued. They must not have had many, they were limited to 1 per person.
I've been looking to branch out a bit from Star Wars 1/6 scale figures. I was surprised how much fantasy made it into the various Middle Ages figures which I assumed would be my initial dip into historical figures. It's nice to know there is serious research going on in the historical figure...
This was one of my eBay 20% off coupon purchases, received today in Missouri from China in 8 days, diaskull really delivers. The color difference from the original release is striking.
These coupons are nice, I keep a full shopping cart just to be ready when the coupon pops.
I sold quite a few items on eBay yesterday, eBay does not take an extra cut from the sellers.
This guy's $210.02 US at popcultcha.com.au currently. If you have pennies it comes in under $200 shipped even with the currency conversion charge. I'm thinking of picking up a second for a custom.
