Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

Was it confirmed if the final product would have movable eyes?

It would be nice to see a painted sample with rolling eyes.

I get what they were going for but it still looks odd. Im surprised they didn’t try an eyes closed version. Regardless I wont be using that head anyway.

The scene you’re referring to she has her eyes closed the majority of the time as well.

IMO the tongue out sculpt looks off with the eyes sculpted open. In the film she has her eyes closed or slightly closed looking down when licking Batman’s face.

Why they didn't experiment with this idea is mind boggling.

The open mouth sculpt with the tongue out is the weakest of the three. It just looks odd and I would imagine paint will make it look worse. The slightly open mouth with the teeth showing has the strongest likeness to Pfieffer and is a more interesting looking portrait all around.

Battle Damage version should come with a completely different base in general.

Yeah they missed an opportunity to really add some realism to the Catwoman sculpts by not going with movable eyes.

If Joost would have shown an actual prototype with movable eyes initially we would not be having this continuous discussion. Makes little sense that he would not have explored that option further and produced a prototype at least. Why they keep using Viola to paint the protos is confusing when...

I thought they were trying out other painters? Viola is a fine painter but her eyes always appear too small. Not to beat a dead horse that has been beaten repeatedly but this is where the movable eyes would have been a better choice. They look more life like and have versatility.

This is all is interesting news about additional figures but they wont see the light of day if at all until 2026-2028 No need to start salivating over them just yet. Lets get a Catwoman proto first lol.

This whole project has been a 💩 show from the start.

Yeah idk the cost of everything but having a main cowl and three smaller pieces and two plug in eyes seems like it would be using less materials in the long run. Less paint and less casting material.

Out of curiosity have you even tried to create a prototype with the movable eyes and swap out faceplates? Wouldn’t faceplates and movable eyes be cheaper than producing and painting three separate head sculpts? Not to mention you can achieve so many different looks.

Looks ok. Will need to see it painted. It appears they may have chose a different painter possibly as well. Still a bit underwhelming not seeing them try different things with this head sculpt.

KgHobby among other online retailers are great places to order from. OSK isn’t the end all when it comes to ordering. Most of the time you can get hard to find items on Aliexpress as well.

Are you blind? There is no real significant differences between any of these sculpts. My point is there is nothing new happening here.

KGhobby has it up for preorder or you can get it from sellers on Aliexpress when it is actually released for cheap. There are definitely other places to get it.
