They're Field Marshal batons - ceremonial symbols of his rank and position.

It confirms that the slimmer baton is an Interimstab, the lighter and thinner baton often carried while on active service, resembling a swagger stick.

Didn't know what you were referring to at first as I didn't read all the specs.
