I was really impressed and inspired by Dorgmal Snow's Droid Factory Gonks and OT Freak's Echo Base Power Droid, so I decided to take a crack at it. Thanks to both of you for your help and encouragement btw! This is my first time trying a large custom build so I imagine I'll make some mistakes but that's okay, it's just for fun!
I read through all hundred-and-something pages of Dorgmal Snows thread, saved some images and worked out on paper roughly what the plan would be.
This is how far I got the first day, a 3 beer afterneoon I guess
Today I got him sanded smooth, puttied up and half greebled out - ready for paint.
Here he is painted up with flat white for a primer base. I'm really looking forward to the next step which will be painting him up all oily and rusty and used and abused
