Verdict - i think he looks excellent - well done Facepool! 8/10 for me and i think he ll fit right in with my DID SPR figures as well. Whether DID produce one remains to be seen - but i aint gonna be too disappointed if they dont!

Mine should be arriving by end of the week (I hope...) Can't wait to see it in hand.

I mentioned it before, but it really is a satisfying feeling to be able to consider a specific collection as "completed".

I don't know if it's just me but I don't see much of Ribisi in that sculpt.

Facepool tends to suffer with lackluster paint apps on the head sculpts. They don't even reach the level of the prototypes. The one that immediately comes to mind is their "Winters" figure from "Band of Brothers". That prototype paint app was amazing. What we got was considerably less detailed.

Was a bit of a let down but i thought it still captured Lewis' likeness fairly well. The worse let down for me was the Facepool Ardennes German MG gunner sculpt - ended up using the alternative (smiling) sculpt which was better. Then again i only own 3 Facepool figures - compared to 60 odd DID/3R examples....

Agreed, fully. I know I have lamented that about Facepool before as well. They do really good sculpt work but the paint application leaves a lot to be desired. At some point I'm going to get that Winters figure repainted, I think it'll really shine that way.

I liked the prototype but I agree I'm not seeing the likeness anymore on the final version. I'm hoping DiD just got bored of making almost the same figures for a few years in a row and is just taking a small break for the last figure, they have the medic web gear already made from the hacksaw ridge figure so I'm still keeping fingers crossed they will make this guy.

Will's pics do have some of that iPhone fisheye lens affect, though. But the paint apps are the usual drop from prototype.

Just checked the tracker and mine has made it to my city. Should hopefully be delivered tomorrow unless the post office screws up.

I do think the sculpt is quite good in it shape etc - the paint is the usual Facepool drop off we ve seen many times - but I knew what to expect with that. That's why Im a predominantly a DID collector. That and the difference in quality of course.
However I personally do ike this figure and represents Wade well within the group - even amongst the superior DID collection.
I do think DID will do a version in the end but time will tell.
I hope Facepool do a good job of the Staufenberg figure - thought DIDs was very good.
