I love the blue light over her face. But I want to say something if you allow me... When you say "the neck is too short" you must notice the issue is the shirt collar. Pulling down it, or opening it, the figure looks much better.

Stupid question but to remove the head, is it just a firm pull and twist?.....thinking of rooting the hair on mine when i get it but dont want to pull the head off and have the neck joint break or something....

Yeah. Hot Toys heads will pop off with a little pull no problem.

Man, I'm very conflicted over this figure.

Huge fan of the original film and would pick it up in a heartbeat if I was only on board with the portrait/hair as it is. Almost none of the pics I've seen of the figure in hand have done it for me, with the big exception of people who have modded it to have rooted hair (the Andy Hibbs job especially). To me, that looks sensational and even if there is just the possibility that I could achieve that, then I'm inclined to pick it up.

But then I realize that a job like that is not going to be achieved by an amateur. It will take a lot of practice and trial and error to get anything close.
So then I think, what are the odds that someone else will release anything truly spot on. This may be as good as it ever gets. And when it is modded properly, it looks pretty damn good.

Now that we have our Riply's i guess we have nothing to moan about, lol!
She was however well worth waiting for but amazing how different lighting effects her glance / likeness.

So what's next?

but now, when you all have your Ripley and i don't because my seller still doesn't ship it, i can start.

Here's my pose (same as everyone lol). I not 100% convinced about her. I hate the hair and had to pad the body a bit (think she was way too skinny). Water treated so the collar is flatened and makes the neck appear longer

Do you mean removing the white shirt? Just be careful with the badges when removing the jumpsuit

previously Sideshow didn't even have an option of shipping to me.
now i checked - they don't have a big banner "UNAVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING TO YOUR DESTINATION" but still don't show shipping, and it would be $40-70.
so i get mine figures from a HK reseller.
