I thought Padme was a decent background character, but in the grand scheme of things, not my cup of tea as a character or design. Nice to own, but not a must in the Star Wars Universe.

Still need Anakin, Dooku, and ObiWan to name a few. I am lacking collection wise.

Did you just call Padme, one of the main characters of the PT and mother of Luke and Leia, a decent background character lol

Surprised no Arena Battle customs have popped up yet. Usually the HK customizers who do the repaints and extensive battle damage have their pics up a day after the figure releases. Unless they just have no interest in SW.

Danoby is our only hope.

Another thing too, not sure if it's been mentioned, the clothes seem loose. The outfit should be tighter fitting, like Under Armour.

One thing i need to know if the peg can be remove and replace, if i had this i would take it out and make the head magnetic

I'd like to know as well for that peculiar peg. If not, gonna make it harder to swap for a silicone body and create a battle damaged version

Yes the SuperDuck set ? I was thinking about buying this and put the Hot TOys head, but the hair won't be accurate.


To be fair, I like the old trilogy...but these movies don't even exist anymore. You can't watch Return of the Jedi without this new dumb Vader crying "noooo" at the end, ruining his mysterious and ambiguous personnality. But I guess it wasn't clear enough for the audience that he had an internal conflict without making him yelling like a baby.

And also, if I start now with a Padme figure...I'll have to buy other figures. You can't have only a Padme to represent the Star Wars franchise. You have to have a Vader, a Luke, a Leia...

I recently watched the OT non special editions with my family. I own the OT DVD's with the second disc being the unedited originals. After watching the three my first thought was that there is no point owning the SE and there should only have been three movies. Another thought was the importance of C-3P0.

It's definitely worth tracking down the Harmy blurays. It's the original OT in high definition and the only way you'll ever want to watch them again. Hell the first movie doesn't even have "A New Hope" on it yet.

Interesting. I own the OT but not in physical format. More in...not very legal version (is there a legal way to have these versions though ?)
I didn't know there was a blu-ray edition.

The 1997 SE wasn't even the worst thing. Some dumb choices yes but nothing too horrible yet.
-No Sebastian Shaw's face replacement by Hayden Christensen (what's even the logic behing that ? When you are a force ghost you appear like you were the last time you did something good ? Well guess what ? Old Vader save Luke from the emperor before dying. He did something good while being Sebastian Shaw.)
-No Vader yelling "noooo"
-No Ewok CGI eyes
-No stupid rocks appearing out of nowhere to hide R2D2 (and disappearing out of nowhere too)

But I think the 1997 SE never existed on DVD. Only on VHS...
The first new edition of Star Wars on DVD already had these changes (Hayden Christensen in episode 6, etc.)

4k77 the original movie is still the definitive version. Visually better than every version after and Han did what you are supposed to do when a gun is held up to you and your being threatened.... if you can? SHOOT FIRST!!!!

Yeah 4k77 and 83 are awesome. Has 80 ever been completed? I've lost track.

I would love the theatrical cuts but with the updated sfx/vfx to cover the more dated fx and maybe the odd deleted scene (Luke with Biggs et al, Luke building his saber etc) but not silly changes like CGI creatures sequence at Tattooine, the musical number in ROTJ, Greedo shooting first, Hayden Ghost etc etc.

I want the movies as close to they originally were made just cleaned up and with mistakes or dodgy fx upgraded in a way that looks consistent with the movies. If such an edit exists I would love to get it

I think someone commented Baby Luke looked like a peanut until he repositioned the swaddled baby at a better angle.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that her expression feels modeled off of her role as Queen way more than as Padme.

For anybody who has this in hand, is the neck a flexible material, or hard plastic? Does it seem like something that could crack over time?

On that note, does anyone know if they used a seamless body underneath where the arms could crack? Or just regular joints?
