Mine shipped yesterday but they didn't get my request for a packout in time. I even tried live chat for 2 hours but got no response yesterday. Now i'm worried the box will be damaged since every item i have ever ordered has been packed out. Can anyone put my mind at ease? Do Hot Toys sent without a packout usually get damaged boxes? The Mailer Hot Toys uses has no padding so one drop and the corner could be crushed.

Never any guarantees but I have received 17 figures from SS over the last two years, never had a packout and never had issues with a damaged box.

Thanks man. Appreciate it! Now the wait till Thursday :hi5:

Just think the 17 figures you got without a packout saved you $170, almost enough for another figure :wink1:

I think you greater your chances of free stuff if they are not shipping just the hot toys brownshipper , like a "free figure" which he would have came out ahead if he received a few free items; plus also note that if you bought two of same figures they come in a free packout and sometimes a free item, thats what I do....sometimes ;)

so i might be able to pose the the diecast war machine in the new hot toys flight pose stands right:pigfly:

The instructions specifically say "nope, too heavy!"

Speaking of weight, this one will spoil me. I've held it for all of 10 minutes, went to pick up my Midas and now that feels like a feathery piece of crap lol

I've only had one of my items double boxed (not at my request Sideshow did it randomly the first time I ordered a figure from them) and have never had a problem personally. I think some people are a little too obsessive to be honest. Unless you really care about the shippers, which I personally don't really see the point in unless you plan on re-selling an item later and even then is kind of silly because you could just ship the item in a different box or you have a really careless delivery person. Even then though it doesn't always ensure the item will arrive in perfect condition anyways.

but what really cheeses me is that the screw to get at the chest reactor batteries came ****ing stripped. I tried several different jewelers screwdrivers and only made it worse, but it was too far gone to begin with. So unless I think of something, I won't be getting at that battery cover. The only way for sideshow to fix it is to send a whole new body.

Sucks. I will contact them about it. My mark vii came with a missing screw on one arm and they sent me a whole new arm, so hopefully they'll take care of this because it sucks to not be able to use the light.

Hot Toys really need to change this. The screws get done up too tight and they are also cheap and nasty junk screws that they use, the metal is too soft.

True, the Diecast adds a whole new class to these figures.

Nope. Too heavy because of the diecast, thus limiting your display options.... :yess:

Why are you cheering? We know you hate Diecast but you really need to get over it. If you owned a Diecast figure you'd see how awesome they are. Diecast is here.:clap

Have you considered adding second support rod under a key area like the chest to provide additional support?

You could put a larger base under the factory base and put the other rod in that base.

Does that make sense?

Places like Hobby Lobby sell clear rods and wood bases so this is a simple project.

It's called sarcasm. Now the figures are so heavy you can't put them in flying poses.

AWESOME!!!!

Every figure I ordered from SS without a packout has come damaged, dented and broken.......just kidding :) Every figure I have ordered from them has come without any issues at all to the shipper, and I have never done a packout. Hope that helps!

i have a custom base that can hold more than a pound in a half so should work out. i build it for stop motion purposes. war machine should look awsome in dynamic flight poses. cant wait to get this figure.
