I just ordered mine, but on a three-month payment plan, so I won't have him for quite some time.

Having read Michael Crawford's review (several times), I am bugged by the seemingly rigid and/or misshapen necklace component of the Eye of Agamotto; I don't suppose it's removable?

Xensation is making Michael Jackson to go along with the good Dr. :

MJ up for preorder anywhere?

Haven't studied mine enough but it's not designed to be switched out. But re HT imitating a stiff woven leather cord at 1/6, not sure what you would replace with. The real thing was probably woven leather to hold the pendant weight and not be twisting around. Actual costume cord looks pretty stiff too:

With a light 1/6 piece not sure what you would replace with that's better. Also the original cord is different colors. I think HT did good imitating the real thing at 1/6. Guess you could hand-wrap thread over beading wire for something more flexible - *maybe* because at the scale think that would end up being pretty stiff too.

So Earth has wizards now, huh? Very nice figure. Along with Harley the two best figures of the year, hands down. That tailoring, man, perfection itself.

You raise valid points, Sassafras. I guess my dislike of the stiff thread is such that I'd maybe prefer to have the Eye free, with no attached band.

Yeah, if it bothers you it could be cut off. Tryin' to think of what would be really flexible at that scale. Fine chain I guess. Also silk thread is flexible and strong.

Totally agree - and IMO looks surprisingly good w. Thor on the shelf.:clap

Now i noticed how they changed and kind of screw up the collar on his coat. It should be much bigger and different shape. Prototype has it right.

Yeah, but I can see why they did that. Protoype collar looks like a single layer of stiffened felt. Figure has stitched collar w. 2 layers which will be more rounded when you fold on a seam like that. So IMO the production is better, e.g. 2 fabric layers.

Tho I didn't notice until it was pointed out.

...and more in scale.

I like the proto collar but I wonder how it would have looked in hand. The production collar still stands pretty high and in the end I think is of better quality.

I got this toy on Black Friday from my local comic store for around $200 and wow, worth every single penny and then some. I knew I wanted it after seeing the movie but this toy is just so well done. The clothing is spot on, the likeness is perfect, the accessories are great, just everything is well done. Out of the 30 figures I have now, this is one of my favorites already.
