Even the hair color is not the right one, the hair should be brown close to red. Not jet black.

I don’t own the original but comparing pictures, the skin tone looks more accurate on the new one. Body looks fantastic, the head sculpt likeness is just OK, considering the amount of time they’ve been working on this it could’ve been a lot better.

This is one of the biggest qualms I have with Hot Toys. They used to design female head sculpts to be a bit softer and more feminine. Then around the time of TLJ Rey they decided they needed to be more angular with tighter skin. I just don't get it. They're trying to make them look more striking and dramatic, but there's no need for that. Just be true to how the actresses look.

I remember saying on someone's instagram post that I think this looked great.

I take back that statement.

Mask that can't be removed (thankfully it can), suit that doesn't zip, SINGLE BEND ARMS (according to the sideshow unboxing), still using pleather that will crumble in a few years unless you stick it in a dust proof prison...I mean, dust proof box and never pose it (wtf is the point of never posing a figure, just buy a statue at that point), headsculpt looks great paint wise, but doesn't really look like Ann Hathaway, with or without the mask. The Queen Studios 1/6 statue looked perfect.

If this goes for 20% or 25% off, I'll buy it because I'm an ***** that likes to buy things I don't need when they are on sale, but this is one step forward (paint wise) and a crap load of steps back compared to the original.

Then just wait when the suit starts flaking despite you rarely handling it and keeping it in a safe space (cool, dry, no light) in your home. Then you go to sell the thing because you can’t bare to look at it any longer and you’re lucky if you can sell it for even the heavily discounted prices!

Ah the joys of collecting.

agreed, the likeness is off in most of these photos. Maybe it's another one of those "it's great in hand" situations. However i think i will keep my Version 1 for now. In hopes there will be an InArt Catwoman at some point with proper rooted hair and a dead on likeness.

I think the suit is the best part of this new release. To my eyes, the suit is an upgrade pretty much top to bottom for the most part with better detailing/ print texture, doesn't look all dried out and more form fitting to the new body. Plus, it doesn't have the oversized real zipper running down the front like the previous version. Now that doesn't excuse the rest of it for lacking nor am I getting this but I don't think it's all bad.
