Ok then show me how it is the same rough-ness as the figure because i'm not seeing it from the image or screenshot from the showIt is if you have seen the costume which I have.
I think it's just a problem with scale. To get the bumpy look to scale, the texturing on the figure would have to be extremely fine which may not be doable - hence the more exaggerated texture.Ok then show me how it is the same rough-ness as the figure because i'm not seeing it from the image or screenshot from the show
Pretty much the same seen the photo of the two side by side is feel very lazy on Hot Toys part doing this, we’re paying for a premium price for a high quality figure just to get a repaint.I think Hot Toys just did the mold for the acid armor with bumps and stuff. And they just reused it for this version. Looking at the pics, all the bumpy grooves look the same for both versions.
Which is what they should've done, I think. It's enough of a stretch that Fett had a full paint station in Slave 1 but to believe he also had an orbital sander and wire wool is too much of a stretch for me to believeI think Hot Toys just did the mold for the acid armor with bumps and stuff. I mean it was a repaint of that armor on the show so I think HT using the same molds is completely appropriate. I'm really puzzled why folks are complaining about this. Yes, with an ultra zoom on a 12 inch figure, the damage is going to look more pronounced. In hand, viewing at an appropriate distance this will match show references very well. I built a life size of both of these and studied a lot of the stills from the show and I think the apparent damage is pretty accurate.Pretty much the same seen the photo of the two side by side is feel very lazy on Hot Toys part doing this, we’re paying for a premium price for a high quality figure just to get a repaint.
Exactly, its known as the repaint armour for a reason.I mean it was a repaint of that armor on the show so I think HT using the same molds is completely appropriate. No one got the throne?
When I saw people getting the first notices I immediately switched from payment plan to pay in full, paid off the balance and then the next day I got a "arriving in warehouse" notification. Got charged the (ABSURDLY high) shipping charges today. Let's hope it's coming sometime in the next...idk ..month?That’s me paying the remaining balance now in full hoping it gets here soon. Ish…
Same. Also,Woke up to the full charge today and status is "Ready to Ship."
So I'd say anywhere from next Monday to Halloween until mine arrives. You never know with Sideshow
